TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FOOTPATHS
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(STANTON HILL UNREGISTERED FOOTPATHS, SUTTON IN ASHFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) CONTINUATION ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State Transport in pursuance of the powers conferred by Sections 14 and 15 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 approves of “The Nottinghamshire County Council (Stanton Hill Unregistered Footpaths, Sutton in Ashfield) (Temporary Prohibition) Order 2025” (which came into force on 1st June 2025 and continues in force until 30th November 2025 inclusive) being extended and continuing in force until 30th November 2026 or until completion of the relevant works, whichever is the sooner.
The Order has the following effect:-
No person shall: -
(a) proceed on foot,
in the following lengths of Footpath at Stanton Hill, Sutton in Ashfield in the District of Ashfield: -
Unregistered Footpaths between Stoneyford Road and Gilcroft Street as shown on the attached plan.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction there is no alternative route available for pedestrians.
If the works are not completed within the above period, the Order may be extended for a longer period with the further approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.
The prohibition is required to protect public safety and to facilitate approved housing development whilst also protecting these routes which the developer will then incorporate into the finished development.
