What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC MARKET BRIDGE
LANE ACCESS ROAD, BIELBY

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
Market Bridge Lane and Access Road, Bielby at all
times commencing 3 December 2025 until
4 December 2025 to allow works for Market Bridge
Lane Access Road, Thornton. The road closure is
necessary to enable the works to be carried out in
a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the
public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is
anticipated that the works will be completed within
two days. The alternative route for traffic affected by
the road closure will be via Marketbridge Lane, Main
Street, Common Lane, Melbourne Road and Common
Road, Seaton Ross CP, Melbourne CP, Thornton CP,
Bielby CP, Wolds Weighton Ward. The diversion route
will be signed at the time of closure.
The road will be closed to all traffic but access will be
maintained for emergency vehicles.
