What is happening?

BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE

(JOSHUA LANE, MIDDLETON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) (No.2) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Joshua Lane, from its junction with Oak Street to its junction with Hercules Green. The Order is required to facilitate an examination of the Railway Bridge. The Order will be operative from 21:00 hours on 15th January 2026 until 05.00 hours on 16th January 2026.

The alternative route for vehicles will be via Mills Hill Road, Middleton Road, Oldham Road, Townley Street, Grimshaw Lane, Lees Street, Joshua Lane and vice versa.

(KENYON LANE, MIDDLETON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from waiting at any time along the westerly side of Kenyon Lane from its junction with Tonge Meadow for a distance of 100 metres in a northerly direction (to outside Number 20 Kenyon Lane).

The Order is required to allow for unobstructed vehicular travel along Kenyon Lane past required Road Works.

The Order will be operative from 08.00 hours on the 5th January 2026 until 18:00 hours on the 16th January 2026.
