What is happening?
THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(DESFORD LANE, KIRBY MUXLOE DISTRICT OF BLABY) (IMPOSITION OF A 40MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 202
THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL hereby gives notice that it proposes to make an Order under Sections 5, 81, 82(2), 83(2), 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, the effect of which will be:
To impose a 40MPH Speed Limit on part of Desford Lane, Kirby Muxloe.
A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan illustrating the proposals and an explanatory statement giving the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected until 17th December 2025 during normal office hours at my offices, Room 200, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester LE3 8RA on the councils website at https://www.leicestershire.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/cars-and-parking/ traffic-management-consultations, at the offices of Blaby District Council, Desford Road, Narborough, Leicester, LE19 2EP and on the notice board at Kirby Muxloe Parish Council. All documents relating to the proposal will remain available on request, in compliance with statute by contacting legalpropertyandenvironment@leics.gov.uk
Objections to the proposals, specifying the grounds on which they are made, should be sent in writing to the undersigned by not later than 17th December 2025, quoting reference HT/HTWMT/6040. Alternatively, objections can be emailed to hayley.tennant@leics.gov.uk or via the online comment form which may be accessed via the link above.
