What is happening?

THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF DURHAM
(ABBEY ROAD LEISURE CENTRE)
(PARKING & WAITING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2015
(AMENDMENT NO.1) ORDER 2025

The Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32 & 35 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be: To amend the 3. No existing ‘Disabled Badge holders only restricted bays from 3 hours no return within 1 hour to Disabled Badge holders only 4 hours no return within 3 hours’ also To amend the 3. No existing restricted parking bays Mon-Fri 8am – 6pm 4 hours no return within 3 hours to 2. No Disabled Badge holders only restricted bays 4 hours no return within 3 hours. All other restrictions in this locality will remain unchanged. A copy of the draft Order & supporting documents may be inspected at Newton Hall Library, Durham during normal opening hours and via the Council website. Any person wishing to object to the proposal should send their grounds of objection in writing, to Sharon Renwick Legal Assistant, Legal Services, PO Box 717, Co Durham DH1 9RB or by e-mail to highways.orders@durham.gov.uk quoting reference number 12730745 no later than 11/12/2025
