West Bridgford Bridleway No.11 - Temporary Prohibition to Protect Public Safety and Enable Essential Surface Repair Works

What is happening?

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF BRIDLEWAY

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (WEST BRIDGFORD BRIDLEWAY NO.11) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-

No person shall:-

(a) proceed on foot,

(b) cause any pedal cycle to proceed,

(c) cause any horse to proceed and

(d) cause any animal to proceed, in the following length of bridleway at West Bridgford in the Borough of Rushcliffe :-

West Bridgford Bridleway No.11 Old Road Track between joining point with Loughborough Road A60 to the entrance to the covered reservoir site.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition will apply as follows:- From Monday, 8th December 2025 to Monday 29th December 2025 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction there will be no alternative route available to equestrians.

The prohibition shall apply to enable works to be carried out or in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the footpath. It may also apply on subsequent days when it shall be necessary. If the works are not completed within 6 months, the Order may be extended.

The prohibition is required to protect public safety and enable essential surface repair works to reinstate the surface on the damaged Bridleway/Track.

THIS CLOSURE WILL ONLY TAKE EFFECT WHEN SIGNS INDICATING CLOSURE ARE DISPLAYED.

THIS NOTICE IS DATED THIS 26TH DAY OF NOVEMEBER 2025
