What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(ABBEY ROAD/MARLBOROUGH ROAD, BEESTON)
(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025 (5376)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, Traffic Management Act 2004, as amended, and The Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (County of Nottinghamshire) Designation Order 2008 (SI 2008 No. 1086), as amended, the effects of which will be in respect of roads at Beeston the Borough of Broxtowe:
1. Proposed prohibition of Waiting At Any Time along the following lengths of road: -
ABBEY ROAD, BEESTON (both sides)
From a point 10 metres south-west of its junction with Marlborough Road in a north-easterly direction to a point 10 metres north-east of that junction.
MARLBOROUGH ROAD, BEESTON (north-east side)
From a point 11 metres north-west of its junction with Abbey Road in a south-easterly direction to a point 12 metres south-east of that junction.
MARLBOROUGH ROAD, BEESTON (south-west side)
From a point 11 metres north-west of its junction with Abbey Road in a south-easterly direction to a point 11 metres south-east of that junction.

The proposals are designed to prevent parking at the junction which is causing issues with visibility.
