What is happening?

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highways (South West) (No.18) Order 2025” authorising the stopping up of 2 irregular shaped areas of highway which lie to the south, east and west of Glencoyne Square and to the north of Ullswater Road at Bristol, in the City of Bristol. This is to enable development as permitted by Bristol City Council under reference 22/03309/F.

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting SUO1385152).

They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Southmead Library, 256 Greystoke Avenue, Bristol, BS10 6BQ.

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 26 November 2025.
