Disabled Persons’ Parking Places (No.2) Order 2025

South Lanarkshire Council propose to consider the introduction of a Traffic Regulation Order thereby introducing new regulated parking bays for the sole use of ‘blue’ badge holders on Ashkirk Drive, Ashgill; Calder Street, Blantyre; Belstane Place, Bothwell; Park Road, Carnwath; Vicarland Road and Wiston Street, both Cambuslang; Juniper Avenue, Mount Cameron Drive North, Aikman Place and Sandpiper Drive, all East Kilbride; Birnam Place, Brankholm Brae, Butterburn Park, Clydesdale Avenue, Deveron Crescent, East Scott Terrace, Forth Terrace, Glenafton View, Hutchison Street, Leven Drive, Milton Terrace, St Ronans Drive, Townhill Road, Victoria Street and Wellcroft Road, all Hamilton; Claude Street, Drygate Street, Glenfruin Drive, John Street, McCallum Road, Miller Street and Raploch Street, all Larkhall; Berwick Drive, Blackfaulds Road, Carrick Road, Glentarbert Road, Kingsheath Avenue, Main Street, McCallum Avenue, Muirbrae Road, Newfield Place, Richmond Place, Rowantree Avenue, Strathclyde Drive, Toryglen Road and Westmuir Place, all Rutherglen; Argyle Street and Queen Street, both Stonehouse.

Full details of these proposals, which form the proposed South Lanarkshire Council (Disabled Persons’ Parking Places) (No.2) Order 2025, together with a plan and statement of reasons for proposing to make this Traffic Regulation Order, are available for inspection on the council’s website.

Any person wishing to object to these proposals should send details of the grounds for objections in writing to the Head of Roads, Transportation and Fleet Services, Council Offices, Floor 6, Almada Street, Hamilton ML3 0AA, or by email to parking.unit@southlanarkshire.gov.uk, by Friday 26 December 2025.
