NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, CHORLEY BOROUGH) (REVOCATION OF RESTRICTED ROADS) ORDER 202*
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council propose to make the above Speed Limit Order under Sections 82(2) and 83(2) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to revoke the following:
a) "The County Council of Lancaster (Restricted Roads) (No.9) Order 1968" in full;
b) "The County Council of Lancaster (Restricted Roads) (No.12) Order 1970" in full;
c) "The County Council of Lancaster (Restricted Roads) (No.10) Order 1971" in full;
d) "The County Council of Lancashire (Restricted Roads) (No.3) Order 1978" in full;
e) "The Lancashire County Council (Gib Lane, Hoghton, Chorley Borough) (Restricted Road) Order, 1994" in full;
f) "The Lancashire County Council (A675 Bolton Road, Abbey Village, Withnell, Chorley Borough) (Revocation and Restricted Road) Order, 1997" in full;
g) "The County Council of Lancashire (Restricted Roads) (No.8) Order 1975" in full;
h) "The Lancashire County Council (Bannister Lane and Woodhart Lane, Eccleston, Chorley Borough) (30 mph Speed Limit) (No.3) Order 1988" in full;
i) The "Lancashire County Council (Bluestone Lane, Hall Lane, Syd Brook Lane, Tinklers Lane and Meadow Lane, Mawdesley and Croston, Chorley Borough) (Part Revocation 30 mph, and 40 mph, and 50 mph Speed Limits) Order 212" insofar as it relates to Schedule 1;
j) "The Lancashire County Council (Various Roads, Mawdesley, Chorley Borough) (Consolidation) and (40mph and 30mph Speed Limits) Order 1993" insofar as it relates to Schedule 1;
k) "The Lancashire County Council (A49 Preston Road, Coppull and Charnock Richard and Croston Lane, Charnock Richard, Chorley Borough) (40mph Speed Limit and Restricted Road) Order 1997" insofar as it relates to Schedule 2;
l) The "Lancashire County Council (Euxton Lane, Euxton, Chorley Borough) (Revocation, 30mph and 40mph Speed Limit) Order 2006" insofar as it relates to Article 2;
m) "The Lancashire County Council (A675 Hoghton Lane, Hoghton/Walton-le-Dale and Station Road, Hoghton, Chorley Borough and South Ribble Borough) (50mph and 30mph Speed Limits) Order, 1993" insofar as it relates to Article 2;
n) The "Lancashire County Council (Wood Lane, Heskin, Chorley and West Lancashire Boroughs) (Revocation, Restricted Roads and 40 mph Speed Limit) Order 2013" insofar as it relates to Schedule 1;
o) "The Borough of Chorley (Botany Brow/Blackburn Brow (B.6228) Chorley) (Restricted Road) Order 1996" insofar as it relates to a 30mph speed limit (restricted road) on Botany Brow/Blackburn Brow (B.6228), Chorley, from the termination point of existing 30mph speed limit on Botany Brow/Blackburn Brow northwards to a point 83 metres north of the centre line of its junction with Knowley Brow;
p) "The County Council of Lancaster (Restricted Roads) (No.4) Order 1969" insofar as it relates to a 30mph speed limit (restricted road) on Runshaw Lane, from its junction with Wigan Road A49 in a south-westerly direction to a point 180 metres south-west of its junction with Primrose Hill Road;
q) "The Lancashire County Council (Restricted Roads) (No.1) Order 1968" insofar as it relates to a 30mph speed limit (restricted road) on Balshaw Lane, from its junction with the approach road to Euxton Station to a point 90 yards east of its junction with Washington Lane;
r) "The County Council of Lancaster (Restricted Roads) (No.7) Order 1972" insofar as it relates to a 30mph speed limit (restricted road) on the following lengths of road:
(i) Washington Lane, from its junction with Balshaw Lane, in a north-easterly direction to its junction with Whinney Lane;
(ii) Botany Brow/Blackburn Brow (b.6228), Chorley, from the termination point of existing 30mph speed limit on Botany Brow/Blackburn Brow northwards to a point 83 metres north of the centre line of its junction with Knowley Brow.
s) "The Lancashire County Council (Bannister Lane, Bannister Green and Wrennall's Lane, Eccleston and Heskin, Chorley Borough) (Restricted Roads) Order, 1994" insofar as it relates to Items 1. and 2. of The Schedule;
t) "The Lancashire County Council (Various Roads, Bretherton, Chorley Borough) (Revocation and Restricted Roads) Order, 1997" insofar as it relates to Items 1. 3. 4. and 5. of The Scheudle.
Where no further speed limit is re-introduced, the speed limit will revert to restricted road status by virtue of street lighting, where a 30mph speed limit will apply.
