What is happening?
Highways
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
THANET AREA
Albert Street, Ramsgate, CT11 9PG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow crane works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Albert Street, Ramsgate, on or after 15th December 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Addington Street and Hertford Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via Addington Street, The Broadway, West Cliff Road and Hertford Street.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via Hertford Street, Hertford Place and Addington Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Balmoral Place, Ramsgate, CT11 8JF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Balmoral Place, Ramsgate, on or after 15th December 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the rear of number 5 Wellington Crescent in Balmoral Place, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Church Street, Broadstairs, CT10 2TL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Street, Broadstairs, on or after 16th December 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 22A, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Church Street, B2053 Albion Road, B2053 St Peters Park Road, A255 St Peters Road, A255 Broadstairs Road, Vicarage Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Court Road, The Length & The Street, St Nicholas At Wade, CT7 0PQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Court Road, The Length & The Street, St Nicholas At Wade, on or after 1st December 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
Closures will be between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Court Road will be closed from the junction of The Street to just past the junction of Down Barton Road.
The Length will be closed between the junctions of A28 Canterbury Road and The Street.
The Street will be closed between the junctions of Court Road and The Length.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Court Road, Potten Street Road, A299 St Nicholas Roundabout, A28 Canterbury Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Ebbsfleet Lane North, Ramsgate, CT12 5DN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow level crossing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ebbsfleet Lane North, Ramsgate, on or after 7th December 2025 for up to 12 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the level crossing, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Greenhill Gardens, Ramsgate, CT12 4EP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Greenhill Gardens, Ramsgate, on or after 1st December 2025 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 15, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Greenhill Gardens, Freemans Road, Monkton Road, Tothill Street, Fairfield Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Manston Court Road, Margate, CT9 4LG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Manston Court Road, Margate, on or after 1st December 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Manston Cottages to the junction of Valley Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Vincent Road, Manston Road, B2050 Manston Road East, Manston Court Road and vice versa.
The alternative route for any HGV through traffic is via Manston Court Road, B2050 Manston Road, A256 Haine Road, A256 New Haine Road, A256 Haine Road, Star Lane Link, Star Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Nash Road, Margate (PROHIBITION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To facilitate development access to the work site, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit parking on Part of Nash Road, Margate, on or after 18th December 2025 for up to 366 days or until the works have been completed.
Nash Road will have a prohibition of parking imposed from the junction of B2052 Hartsdown Road to the site entrance of Navigator’s Walk, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Northdown Road, Broadstairs, CT10 3JP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow vegetation cutting to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Northdown Road, Broadstairs, on or after 2nd December 2025 for up to 5 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the railway bridge, between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Northdown Road, B2053 Westover Road, B2053 Beacon Road, B2053 Church Street, B2053 Albion Road, B2053 St Peters Park Road, A255 St Peters Road, A255 Broadstairs Road, Vicarage Street, Church Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
School Lane, Ramsgate, CT11 8QR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of School Lane, Ramsgate, on or after 16th December 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 82, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Broad Street, Hardres Street and School Lane.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via School Lane, Hardres Street, A255 Boundary Lane, Church Road and Broad Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Sydney Road, Ramsgate, CT11 8AD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sydney Road, Ramsgate, on or after 15th December 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 24, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
