ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

(as Amended) – SECTION 14(1)

THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS

(ST HELENS ROAD, ECCLESTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, ORDER 2025)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 4?? day of November, 2025, the St. Helens Borough Council made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit a vehicle proceed in either direction along St Helens Road outside 181 (service road), as and when directed by road traffic signs on-site.

The Order will come into force on Monday 12th January 2026, and will have a maximum duration of eighteen months, but will terminate on completion of the works, which is expected to take three weeks.

The alternative route will be via Valencia Grove, St Helens Road and vice versa.

The reason for making this Order is to facilitate repairs to the sewer.
