Westmorland and Furness, Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures due to Utility Works
What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (U5475, DENT AND JACK HILL, ALLITHWAITE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the;
(i) U5475, Dent, from a point approx. 200 metres south east of its junction with the
C5101, extending in a south easterly direction for a distance of approx. 110 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U5475, C5101 and Beech Hill.
Duration: From 11th December 2025 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROW/15960)
(ii) Jack Hill, Allithwaite, from a point approx. 80 metres south west of its junction with
the U5955, extending in a south westerly direction for a distance of approx. 45 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Jack Hill, Church Road and Flookburgh Road (B5277).
Duration: From 13th January 2026 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROW/16617)

The Order will come into operation on 11th December 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
