South Lakeland, Multiple Traffic Notices, Speed Limit Changes including introduction, extension, removal, and adjustments of 20mph and 30mph speed zones

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS, SOUTH LAKELAND AREA)

(CONSOLIDATION AND PROVISION OF SPEED LIMITS)(ORDER 2024) VARIATION ORDER NO. 3 20><

1. Westmorland and Furness Council hereby give notice that it proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1(1) and 2(1) to (4), 32, 35, 35A, 47, 49 and 64 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The effect of the proposed Order will be to: -

   2a) Introduce 20 miles per hour speed limits on various roads in the following areas:-

   i. Barbon

   ii. Cartmel

   iii. Greenodd and Penny Bridge

   iv. Heversham

   v. Ings

   vi. Kendal

   vii. Levens

   viii. Milnthorpe

   ix. Satterthwaite

2b) Extend the existing 20 miles per hour speed limits on various roads in Levens

2c) Remove the 30 miles per hour speed limit from various roads, or sections of road, in Penny Bridge, Levens, and Satterthwaite.

2d) Introduce 30 miles per hour speed limits on various roads, or sections of road, in Cartmel, Penny Bridge, and Satterthwaite.
