Folkestone and Hythe, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices
What is happening?
Highways
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA
Ashford Road, New Romney, TN28 8HL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow sewer works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ashford Road, New Romney, on or after 1st December 2025 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Cockreed Lane and Rolfe Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ashford Road, Five Vents Lane, A259 Lydd Road, A259 High Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Bouverie Road West, Folkestone, CT20 2RA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bouverie Road West, Folkestone, on or after 1st December 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 91, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Grimston Avenue, A259 Sandgate Road, A259 Earls Avenue, Bouverie Road West and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Bridge Street, Folkestone (PROHIBITION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow demolition works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bridge Street, Folkestone, on or after 16th December 2025 until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed will have a prohibition of parking imposed from the junction of Canterbury Road to the Northern boundary of number 2, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
High Street, Brookland, TN29 9QP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Brookland, on or after 18th December 2025 for up to 5 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Short Lane to between Lambert Cottage and Quince Cottage, between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Street, Lane From High Street To A259 Rectory Lane Roundabout, A259 Rectory Lane Roundabout, A259 Brookland Bypass, Straight Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
