Dover, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.



DOVER AREA



Coppin Street, Deal, CT14 6TR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Coppin Street, Deal, on or after 1st December 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Beach Street and Middle Street, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Coppin Street, Middle Street, Farrier Street, Beach Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Felderland Lane, Worth, CT13 0DQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Felderland Lane, Worth, on or after 15th December 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Nursery Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Felderland Lane, A256 Sandwich Road, A258 Deal Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Heronden Road, Eastry (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Heronden Road, Eastry, on or after 2nd December 2025 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside The Oast, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Heronden Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Heronden Road, Eastry (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Heronden Road, Eastry, on or after 15th December 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside unit 4, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Heronden Road, Thornton Lane, Thornton Road, C230 Un-named Road From Thornton Road To Sandwich Road, Sandwich Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Hotel Road, St Margarets Bay, CT15 6DS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hotel Road, St Margarets Bay, on or after 1st December 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside the residential flats, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hotel Road, Granville Road, Bay Hill and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Longmete Road, Preston, CT3 1DP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Longmete Road, Preston, on or after 3rd December 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from outside Keymer Cottage to outside Downfield, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Longmete Road, The Street, Mill Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Ratling Road, Aylesham, CT3 3HB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ratling Road, Aylesham, on or after 1st December 2025 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Cornwallis Avenue for approximately 110m in a Northerly direction, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ratling Road, B2046 Adisham Road, Spinney Lane, Ackholt Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Redsull Avenue, Deal, CT14 9GL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Redsull Avenue, Deal, on or after 3rd December 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 53, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Redsull Avenue, Davis Avenue, Cavell Square, Mary Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Roman Road, Maydensole, CT15 5HP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Roman Road, Maydensole, on or after 1st December 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Regency Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Roman Road, Chapel Lane, Waldershare Road, Little America and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Strand Street, Sandwich, CT13 9EZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Strand Street, Sandwich, on or after 2nd December 2025 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Bowling Street and Harnet Street, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via High Street, The Chain, Galliard Street, New Street, Dover Road, Deal Road, A258 Deal Road, A256 Sandwich Bypass, Ash Road and Strand Street.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Strand Street, Ash Road, A256 Sandwich Bypass, A258 Deal Road, Deal Road, Dover Road, New Street, Cattle Market and Harnet Street.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Various Roads, Dover (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow lining works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Various Roads, Dover, on or after 15th December 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

Closures will be imposed between the hours of 00:00 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A256 Buckland Avenue will be closed the entire length.

A256 Barton Road will be closed the entire length.

A256 Frith Road will be closed the entire length.

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via A256 Crabble Hill, A256 London Road, A256 Whitfield Hill, Dover Road, A2 J A256 Roundabout, A2 Between Whitfield Roundabout And Junction With A256, A2 Between Junction With A256 And Duke Of Yorks Roundabout, A2 Jubilee Way, A20 Townwall Street, A256 York Street, A256 Priory Road, A256 High Street and Bridge Street.

A256 Maison Dieu Road will be closed between the junctions of Pencester Road and Castle Street.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pencester Road, Biggin Street, Priory Street, A256 York Street, A20 Townwall Street and A256 Woolcomber Street.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
