Ashford, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.



ASHFORD AREA



B2080 Tenterden Road, Appledore, TN26 2AW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2025

To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of B2080 Tenterden Road, Appledore from 15th December 2025, with estimated completion by 17th December 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Coxland Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via B2080 Tenterden Road, Reading Street, Appledore Road, B2067 Woodchurch Road, Brook Street, Kenardington Road, Warehorne Road, D1305 11 Acre Wood Lane Junction With B2067 To D1291 Junction With D1305 11 Acre Wood Lane, Ashford Road, Ashford Road Junction With Bypass Link Road To Hamstreet, A2070 From J A2070/B2080 Roundabout To J A2042, Hamstreet Bypass, A2070 From Ashford Road To District Boundary, A2070 Rhee Wall To Ashford Road, A259 J A2070/B2080 Roundabout, Rhee Wall Roundabout, B2080 Rhee Wall, Brenzett Corner Roundabout, Rhee Wall Road, Station Road, The Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Boys Hall Road, Willesborough.​ (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLEWAY & FOOTWAY) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2025

To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily suspend part of the cycleway and footway on Boys Hall Road, Willesborough from 21st December 2025, with estimated completion by 28th January 2026, or until the works have been completed.

The cycleway and footway will be temporarily suspended between the junctions with Millstream Green and Sevington Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for pedestrians is via Millstream Green, Sevington Lane and vice versa. Cyclists will be advised to dismount.



Mystole Lane, Chilham, CT4 8EA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2025

To allow level crossing inspection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Mystole Lane, Chilham from 23:30 hours on 15th December 2025, with estimated completion by 05:00 hours on 16th December 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed 20m either side of Chilham Road level crossing, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A28 Canterbury Road, Shalmsford Street, Mystole Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Pilgrims Way, Boughton Aluph.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2025

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, Boughton Aluph from 18th December 2025, for up to one day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Brewhouse Lane continuing west for 280m, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wye Road, A28 Canterbury Road, Church Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works



Rock Hill Road, Egerton, TN27 9EB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2025

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Rock Hill Road, Egerton from 1st December 2025 with estimated completion by 2nd December 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Hawksbury and White Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Rock Hill Road, Mundy Bois Road, C86 Mundy Bois Road Junction With C146 Pinnock Road To Junction With Green Hill Lane, The Pinnock, Rose Farm Road, Smarden Road, Forge Hill, Egerton Road, New Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Smarden Road, Bethersden.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2025

To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Smarden Road, Bethersden from 2nd December 2025, with estimated completion by 4th December 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Little Hodgeham, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Smarden Road, Pot Kiln Lane, High Halden Road From Pb To Pb, High Halden Road, Wagstaff Lane, A262 Tenterden Road, A274 North Street, Headcorn Road, The Cut, Biddenden Road, Bethersden Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Susans Hill, Woodchurch, TN26 3RF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2025

To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Susans Hill, Woodchurch from 15th December 2025, with estimated completion by 17th December 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 5 West Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Susans Hill, Little Robhurst, Swain Road, B2067 Brook Street, Front Road, Bethersden Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



The Pinnock, Pluckley, TN27 0TA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER DECEMBER 2025

To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of The Pinnock, Pluckley from 2nd December 2025 for up to one day, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Rose Farm Road and Smarden Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Smarden Road, Rose Farm Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
