Hornton Street - Road Closed To Vehicles For Paving Works
What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES HORNTON STREET
(Northern Section)
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea intends to make an Order under The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Schedule 1 - Section 14 (1)(A) and all other enabling powers prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below. Where necessary to maintain access for residents and occupiers one way or two-way traffic working may be imposed on affected roads.
ROAD CLOSED TO VEHICLES FOR PAVING WORKS.
Hornton Street is to be closed from the junction with Pitt Street to the junction with Holland Street.
The closure will operate from 08:00 hrs on Monday 8 December 2025 until 18:00 hrs on Saturday 13 December 2025, and from 08:00 hrs on Monday 15 December 2025 until 18:00 hrs on Friday 19 December 2025, or until the works are completed.
• Southbound diverted traffic may use: Hornton Street, Pitt Street, Gordon Place, Holland Street, Hornton Street.
• Northbound diverted traffic may use: Hornton Street, Kensington High Street, Kensington Church Street, Campden Grove, Hornton Street.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency.
