Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:
Shrubbery Walk, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026
Date coming Into Force: 5 February 2026
Ref: SW25.26-217
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach for excavation to lay duct. This order will become operative on the 5 February 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by North Somerset Council for the re-pollarding of the London Planes. This order will become operative on the 15 December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order will become operative on the 5 February 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration. This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to lead replacement and cut off. This order will become operative on the 17 February 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Drove Road, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset
Temporary One-Way Restriction Order 2026
Date coming into Force: 6 February 2026

Will be to restrict, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the restricted section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Cornerstone Telecommunications Infrastructure for safe use of MEWP to access the telecom mast. This order will become operative on the 6 February 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restriction may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 9 hours in duration overnight between 8pm and 6am. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
Schedule – Drove Road traffic will be restricted from proceeding northbound from roundabout exit to pedestrian crossing adjacent to the KIA Garage.

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

This order is required because of trial hole and jetting investigation works and will become operative on 22 December 2025 anticipated to be of 1 day in duration between 8am and 5pm. The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025
Date coming into Force: 2 December 2025

This order will become operative on the 2 December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm. This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to access underground structures in carriageway for cabling work for the new fibre build. This order will become operative on the 1 December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration between 09:30 and 15:30. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to access multiple overhead and underground structures. This order will become operative on the 1 December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 10 days in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. The commencement dates of the phase closures are approximate and subject to the progression of the works. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
Schedule (in phases) – Church Road from junction with Barton Road to junction with Winscombe Hill. Parsons Way from access to the kennels to junction with Winscombe Hill.
