What is happening?

PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.6. (PART) FORSBROOK PARISH TEMPORARY CLOSURE

Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council, on 21/11/23 made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along the section of Public Footpath No. 6 Forsbrook Parish from its junction with Public Footpath No. 9 Draycott in the Moors Parish for approximately 402 metres in a generally northerly direction to its junction with Woodlands Lane.

The closure is required due to housing development works.

An alternative route is available and is signposted.

A plan has been displayed on site to show the alternative route provided, length of path to be closed and the unaffected rights of way in the area.

This Order came into operation on 23/11/23 and has been extended for a further period of eighteen months, until 23/11/26 or until the risk of danger to the public is over, whichever is the earlier. This extension has been given approval by the Secretary of State. If necessary, the Order may be extended for a further period.
