What is happening?
STOCKTON-ON-TEES BOROUGH COUNCIL
NEW ROAD AND A1046 HAVERTON HILL ROAD, BILLINGHAM TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on 18th November 2025, the Highway Authority being satisfied that access to the said roads should be prohibited because works are being or are proposed to be carried out on or near the roads.
The effect of the Order, which came into effect on 18th November 2025, is to temporarily close the lengths of roads specified in The Schedule below at such times as signs are erected to notify users of the closure. It is expected that works will be carried out until approximately 24th November 2025. The Order may continue in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. Alternative routes will be signed on site. Pedestrian access will be maintained, emergency service access will not be maintained, and bus services will be affected.
The Schedule
New Road, Billingham - From a point approximately 350m southwest of its junction with A1046 Haverton Hill Road for a distance of approximately 160m in a south westerly direction.
A1046 Haverton Hill Road, Billingham - From a point approximately 265m south of its junction with New Road for a distance of approximately 180m in a southerly direction.
