What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC146597928: The City of Manchester (Seymour Road South, Clayton & Openshaw Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Seymour Road South From Ashton new Road to Hamnett Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Seymour Road South, Toledo Street, Stokes Street and Vice Versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate sewer repairs. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 24th November 2025 to 5th December 2025. The order shall come into operation on 24th November 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
ORDER NO. MCC146558195: The City of Manchester (Barnstead Avenue, Withington Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Barnstead Avenue. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate pole replacement. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 24th November 2025 to the 1st December 2025 between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30. The order shall come into operation on the 24th November 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
