What is happening?

(GILLINGHAM ROAD, GILLINGHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be  to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable electricity supply works to be carried out

Gillingham Road, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 151 Gillingham Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Nelson Road and Naper Road.

This Order will come into force on Monday, 29 December 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 29 December 2025 and are programmed for completion within 3 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

CORPORATION STREET AND ESPLANADE, ROCHESTER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable trial holes to be dug in the carriageway

Corporation Street and Esplanade, Rochester - eastbound traffic over Rochester Bridge to be prohibited from turning right into Esplanade. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available and signed via Corporation Street, Furrels Road and return.

This Order will come into force on Monday, 1 December 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 1 December 2025 and are programmed for completion within 5 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

CAPSTONE ROAD, CHATHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)  (NO. 3) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable telecoms works to be carried out

Capstone Road, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with Elm Court Industrial Estate heading north for approximately 500 metres to the junction with Lordswood Bridleway. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Capstone Road, Pear Tree Lane, Hempstead Road and Lidsing Road (one way only).

This Order will come into force on Monday, 1 December 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 1 December 2025 and are programmed for completion within 1 day (9.30am–3.30pm). The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(GLOBE LANE, WATERFRONT WAY AND MEDWAY STREET, CHATHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable electricity supply works to be carried out

Globe Lane, Waterfront Way and Medway Street, Chatham - The following roads to be closed to all vehicular traffic overnight

The entire length of Globe Lane; Waterfront Way between Medway Street and the roundabout adjacent to St Johns Car Park (both non inclusive); and Medway Street from its junction with Waterfront Way for 20 metres westwards.

This public notice refers to night works taking place between 8pm and 5.30am each night from 22 November to 29 November 2025. An alternative route will be available and signed.

The works were commenced under a Notice on 22 November 2025 and from 27 November 2025 will be continued by Order for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(KINGSWOOD ROAD, GILLINGHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply works to be carried out

Kingswood Road, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 1B Kingswood Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Railway Street, Ingram Road, Forge Lane, Parr Avenue, Burnt Oak Terrace and East Street.

This Order will come into force on Monday, 24 November 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 24 November 2025 and are programmed for completion within 5 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable electricity supply works to be carried out

Burnt Oak Terrace, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 86 Burnt Oak Terrece. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Jeffery Street and Gardner Street.

This Order will come into force on Tuesday, 9 December 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Tuesday, 9 December 2025 and are programmed for completion within 4 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.
