Dorset, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

Temporary Traffic Management Order, B3165, Blackdown

Dorset Council

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 21 November 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 01 December 2025.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out essential highway maintenance works.

The effect of the Order is as follows:

[1] To impose a temporary road closure on B3165, BLACKDOWN between its junction with Specket Lane and its junction with School Lane, a distance of approximately 1300 metres.

[2] To impose a temporary parking suspension, as indicated by signs on site, to prevent parking on the highway along B3165, BLACKDOWN between its junction with Specket Lane and its junction with School Lane, a distance of approximately 1300 metres.

[3] To impose a temporary clearway, as indicated by signs on site, to prevent waiting on the highway along B3165, BLACKDOWN between its junction with Specket Lane and its junction with School Lane, a distance of approximately 1300 metres.

[4] To impose a temporary road closure on B3165, BLACKDOWN between its junction with School Lane and its junction with B3162, a distance of approximately 1055 metres.

[5] To impose a temporary parking suspension, as indicated by signs on site, to prevent parking on the highway along B3165, BLACKDOWN between its junction with School Lane and its junction with B3162, a distance of approximately 1055 metres.

[6] To impose a temporary clearway, as indicated by signs on site, to prevent waiting on the highway along B3165, BLACKDOWN between its junction with School Lane and its junction with B3162, a distance of approximately 1055 metres.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Traffic Management Order, Various Roads, North Poorton / Temporary Closure of Fishweir Lane, Bradpole

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 08 December 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 16 December 2025.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance works.

The effect of the Order is as follows:

[1] To impose a temporary road closure on the following roads as indicated by signs on site; Jacks Hill - Church Road.

[2] To impose a parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent parking on the highway along; Jacks Hill - Church Road.

[3] To impose a clearway as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting on the highway along; Jacks Hill - Church Road.

Temporary Closure of Fishweir Lane, Bradpole

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along FISHWEIR LANE, BRADPOLE between its junction with Village Road and a point approximately 96 metres south. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 21 November 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 05 December 2025.

This Order will enable National Grid Company, safe access to carry out a reinforcement scheme.

An alternative route will be signed using: Village Road - Trinity Way
