(PARKING & WAITING RESTRICTIONS)
ORDER 2013
(AMENDMENT No. 1) ORDER 2025

The Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2 & 4 & Part IV of Sch. 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, its effect being

To remove ‘No stopping’ (Monday–Friday, 8am–6pm) on entrance markings restrictions on:

a. the western side of The Links, starting from a point adjacent to No. 2A The Links, for a distance of 26m in a northerly direction.

To introduce ‘No stopping’ (Monday–Friday, 8am–6pm) on entrance markings restrictions:

a. the southern side of the junction from The Links into Belmont Community School, starting from a point adjacent to No. 2A The Links, for a distance of 35m in a northerly then westerly direction.

b. the northern side of the junction from The Links into Belmont Community School, starting from a point adjacent to No. 7 Bishops Close, for a distance of 35m in an easterly then northerly direction.

To replace existing ‘restricted waiting’ (Monday–Saturday, 8am–6pm) restrictions with ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ restrictions on:

a. the western side of The Links, starting from a point adjacent to No. 7 Bishops Court, for a distance of 200m in a northerly direction.

b. the eastern side of The Links, starting from a point adjacent to Belmont Branch Library, for a distance of 70m in a northerly direction.

c. the eastern side of the junction from Broomside Lane into The Links, starting from a point adjacent to No. 14 The Links, for a distance of 45m in a westerly then southerly direction

To introduce ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ restrictions on:

a. the western side of the junction from Broomside Lane into Belmont Surgery, for a distance of 14m.

b. the eastern side of the junction from Broomside Lane into Belmont Surgery, for a distance of 14m.

c. the eastern side of Belmont Industrial Estate Service Road, starting from a point adjacent to Unit 1 North Point, for a distance of 25m in a northerly direction.

d. the eastern side of Belmont Industrial Estate Service Road, starting from a point adjacent to Unit 1 North Point, for a distance of 19m in a south westerly direction.

e. the eastern side of Belmont Industrial Estate Service Road, starting from a point adjacent to Unit 11A, for a distance of 20m in a north westerly direction.

f. the eastern side of Belmont Industrial Estate Service Road, starting from a point adjacent to Unit 11A, for a distance of 19m in a south easterly direction.

g. the western side of Belmont Industrial Estate Service Road, starting from a point adjacent to Unit 1 Evans Business Centre, for a distance of 17m in a north easterly direction.

h. the western side of Belmont Industrial Estate Service Road, starting from a point adjacent to Unit 1 Evans Business Centre, for a distance of 17m in a south easterly direction.

i. the western side of Belmont Industrial Estate Service Road, starting from a point adjacent to Unit 10B, for a distance of 9m extending north from existing restrictions.

j. the eastern side of Belmont Industrial Estate Service Road, starting from a point adjacent to Unit 10B, for a distance of 7m extending north from existing restrictions.

k. the eastern side of High Street, starting from a point adjacent to No. 1 Grange Court, for a distance of 14m extending north from existing restrictions.

To introduce ‘restricted waiting and loading/unloading’ (Monday–Friday, 8am–6pm) restrictions on:

a. the northern side of the junction from The Links into Brackendale Road, starting from the boundary between numbers 7 & 8 Bishops Close, for a distance of 27m in a southeasterly/easterly direction.

b. the southern side of the junction from The Links into Brackendale Road, starting from a point adjacent to No. 45 Brackendale Road, for a distance of 37m in a northerly then westerly direction.

To introduce ‘restricted waiting and loading/unloading’ (Monday–Friday, 8–9am 2–4pm) restrictions on:

a. the western side of Buckinghamshire Road, starting from the southern boundary of No. 10 Buckinghamshire Road, for a distance of 137m in a north westerly direction.

All other restrictions locally remain the same. A copy of the draft Order and supporting documents may be inspected at Belmont Library during normal opening hours and via the Council website.
