What is happening?

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF REDBRIDGE

School Streets Scheme - The Redbridge (Prescribed Routes) (School Streets) (No.1) (Amendment No. **) Order 2025

(NOTE: This Notice is about the introduction/extension of part-time pedestrian zones during term-time [school streets] in streets adjacent to Woodford Green Primary School. Objections may be made - see paragraph 4).

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Redbridge proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

2. The general effect of the Orders is to introduce: -

(1) Woodford Green Primary School - to prohibit all motor vehicles except (SS53) permit holders between 8:00 - 9:15am and 2:30 - 3:45pm on Mondays to Fridays during term time in High Elms (between the junctions of Elm Grove, Links Road, and High Road Woodford Green.

(2) Any vehicle that is in the affected road before the pedestrian and cycle zone commences will be permitted to leave.

(3) Introduce a southbound prohibition of entry on the north-south arm of High Elms south of the southern kerb-line of Links Road.

3. A copy of the proposed Order, map-plans and documents giving detailed particulars of the proposals may be examined at: The Customer Centre, Lynton House, 255-259 High Road, Ilford, IG1 1NY, between 10:00am and 4:00pm Monday to Friday inclusive (except Bank or public holidays) until the last day of a period of 6 weeks beginning with the date the Order is made, or the Council decides not to make the Order.

4. All objections and other representations to the proposed Order must be made in writing stating the grounds on which they are made and should be sent to School Streets Team, 2nd Floor (Front), Lynton House, 255-259 High Road, Ilford, IG1 1NY, (quoting reference: RED1085) or by email to: schoolstreetsdesign@redbridge.gov.uk,by noon on

21st December 2025. Any objection may be communicated to, or seen by, other persons who may have an interest in the matter.
