THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL

Sandy Lane (D99) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025

On 14 November 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Sandy Lane (D99) Guildford as extends from the western boundary of the property known as “The Hollies” to its junction with The Drive (X604); and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Sandy Lane (D99) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” insofar is as it relates to the length of road in (a).

Alternative route – Sandy Lane, A3100 (Old Portsmouth Road), B3000 (New Pond Road), Stakescorner Road, Littleton Lane and Sandy Lane, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Road Traffic Management Ltd to facilitate utility and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 1 December 2025 for 5 days between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Blacksmith Lane (D218) Chilworth Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 14 November 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Blacksmith Lane (D218) Chilworth as extends from the southern boundary of the property known as “Waterworks Cottage” to the southern boundary of the property known as “Oakhurst”; and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Blacksmith Lane (D218) Chilworth Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” insofar is as it relates to the length of road in (a).

Alternative route – A248 (Dorking Road and Chilworth Road), Guildford Lane and White Lane, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable SGN to facilitate a new service connection and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 1 December 2025 for 9 days between the hours of 8.00am and 23.59pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Stoughton Road (D4023) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 14 November 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Stoughton Road (D4023) Guildford as extends from the western boundary of the property known as “221 Stoughton Road” to the access road for Stoke New Cemetery.

Alternative route – Stoughton Road, A322 (Worplesdon Road and Aldershot Road) A25 (Midleton Road, Woodbridge Road and Ladymead) and A320 (Woking Road), or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate CCTV survey, jetting and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 1 December 2025 for 1 night between the hours of 9.00pm and 5.00am. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Berkeley Court (D3873) Weybridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 14 November 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Berkeley Court (D3873) Weybridge; and (b) prohibit the use of the footway adjacent to this length of road.

There is no alternative route for this closure for vehicles. Alternative route for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists – footways adjacent. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

This Order is required to enable Cornerstone to facilitate telecommunication works and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 2 December 2025 for 2 weeks between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.

Stanley Hill (B3405) Pirbright Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 19 November 2025 County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Stanley Hill (B3405) Pirbright as extends from a point 125 metres south of its junction with (B3012) Gapemouth Road and (B3012) Gole Road southwards for a distance of 30 metres.

Alternative Routes – Stanley Hill Road; Gapemouth Road; Tunnel Hill Road; Grange Road; and Stanley Hill Roador this same route in reverse. This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 24 November 2025 is required to facilitate new mains water connection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Affinity Water within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over five days between the hours of 8am and 6pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including residents and the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

D3145 Strode Street, Egham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 19 November 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3145 Strode Street, Egham that extends from its junction with D3144 Hummer Road, to its junction with D3144 Denham Road. This Traffic Order is required to enable Thames Water to carry out chamber rebuilding and water mains maintenance works outside “No. 49 - No. 51 Strode Street”. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 3 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 03 December 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for residents, businesses and equestrians will be maintained at all times via the alternative routes: – 1. Hummer Road, Crown Street and Denham Road. 2. Denham Road, Egham High Street and Hummer Road.

D3075 Parkside, New Haw Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 19 November 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3075 Parkside, New Haw that extends from its junction with D3076 Mayfield Avenue, to its junction with D3075 Heathervale Road. This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to carry out telegraph pole replacement and/or to carry out cabling and/or maintenance works outside “No. 46 - No. 47 Parkside”. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 4pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 November 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times via a temporary walkway. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times. Alternative route: – Parkside, Mayfield Avenue, Woodham Lane and Heathervale Road.

Charterhouse Road (C23) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 19 November 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Charterhouse Road (C23) Godalming as extends from its junction with (D5422) Peperharow Road to its junction with (X68483) Newstead Close. Alternative Route: Charterhouse Road, Twycross Road, Farncombe Hill, Farncombe Street, Nightingale Road, Chalk Road, (A3100) Bridge Road, (A3100) Flambard Way, High Street, Station Road, Church Street, Borough Road, and Charterhouse Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate new water connection works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 01 December 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services vehicles, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for residents and businesses, and they will be required to follow the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Clock Barn Lane (D162) Busbridge and Salt Lane (C32) Hydestile Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:- (a) Salt Lane (C32) Hydestile as extends from its junction with New Road (X94006) to the access for the property known as “Busbridge Copse Farm”; and (b) Clock Barn Lane (D162) Busbridge as extends from the access for “The Cottage” to a point 50 metres east.

Alternative route – (a) Salt Lane, Hambledon Road and Clock Barn Lane, or this route in reverse. (b) Clock Barn Lane, Salt Lane and Hambledon Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Thames Water and Openreach to facilitate new service connections and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 14 December 2025 in two phases. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. (a) is anticipated to commence on 14 December 2025 for 1 day between the hours of 8.00am and 3.00pm. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. (b) is anticipated to commence on 15 December 2025 for 3 days between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm but the closure is anticipated to be in force for 24-hours per day. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.

Station Road (B364) Thames Ditton Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit:- (a) vehicles from waiting in that length of Station Road (B364) Thames Ditton as extends from its junction with Watts Road (B364) to the western boundary of the property known as “14 Station Road”; and (b) pedestrians from using the footway adjacent to the length of road in (a).

Alternative route – (b) footway provided.

This Order is required to enable M Group to facilitate a new service connection and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 December 2025 for 3 days between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and waiting restriction, which are anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Woodlands Road (D4027) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Woodlands Road (D4027) Guildford as extends from its junction with Woking Road (A320) to access for Willow Court and Darwin Court.

Alternative route – A320 (Woking Road), Woking Road and Old Farm Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable ASL Limited to facilitate a new sewer connection and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 December 2025 for 5 days between the hours of 8.00am and 4.00pm.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

A25 Parkway, Guildford Temporary Traffic Management Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: – 1.a) Prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in a southerly direction on the access road for “Guildford Spectrum Leisure Centre” from turning right onto A25 Parkway, Guildford. Alternative route: – Left turn onto A25 Parkway, to its junction with A3100 London Road at “the Boxgrove Roundabout”, taking the 4th exit to return on A25 Parkway (westbound). b) Prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in southerly direction on the access road for “Guildford Spectrum Leisure Centre” from turning left into A25 Parkway, Guildford.

Alternative route: – Right turn onto A25 Parkway, right turn at its junction with Stoke Road and Woking Road, taking the 3rd exit back onto A25 Woking Road, turn left to return on A25 Parkway (eastbound).

2. Impose a maximum speed limit of 30mph in that length of: – a) A25 Parkway, Guildford (westbound carriageway) that extends from its junction with A3100 London Road at “the Boxgrove Roundabout”, to a point 90 west of its junction with the access road for “Guildford Spectrum Leisure Centre”. b) A25 Parkway, Guildford (eastbound carriageway) that extends from a point in line with the south-western property boundary of “The Parkway Beefeater”, to a point 120 east of its junction with the access road for “Guildford Spectrum Leisure Centre”. 3. The “Surrey County Council (Various Roads in Guildford) (40mph Speed Limit) (Amendment and Revocation) Order 2017” shall be suspended insofar as imposes a speed limit of 40mph in the lengths of A25 Parkway, Guildford described in 2. a) and b) above.

This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out traffic signal refurbishment and/or repair and/or maintenance and/or highway works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm on weekdays (extended weekday working hours: – 8am and 9pm), and 8am and 3pm on Saturdays, within 3 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 January 2026. The banned turns specified and described in 1.a) and b) above will not operate simultaneously. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary banned turns, suspension and speed limits, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative routes described above. The speed limits imposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 or in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the highway by or on behalf of the Police. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Holmbury Hill Road (D280) Holmbury St Mary Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Holmbury Hill Road (D280) Holmbury St Mary as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Somerset Hill to its junction with the access to the property known as “Pipers Lea”. Alternative Route: Holmbury Hill Road, Pitland Street, (B2126) Horsham Road, (B2126) Miles Hill, (B2126) Holmbury Lane, (B2127) Ockley Road, Holmbury Road, and Holmbury Hill Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate telecom pole replacement works for, or on behalf of Barr Engineering Services Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 December 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Cottimore Lane (D3814) Walton-On-Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to (1) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Cottimore Lane (D3814) Walton-On-Thames which extends from its junction with Lancaster Court (D3814) to its junction with Kingsbridge Road (D3814) and (2) suspend “The Surrey County Council Russell Road (D3802) and Cottimore Lane (D3814) Walton-On-Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in Schedule 2 of that Order. The Order which will commence on 3 December 2025 is required to allow water service pipe replacement works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Affinity Water within the length of the road described in this Notice for a period of 12 months. The works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days commencing on 17 December 2025 between the hours of 8am and 5pm.

Alternative route: Terrace Road, High Street, Hersham Road, Rydens Road, Ambleside Avenue, Cottimore Lane or the same route in reverse. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and suspension of the Order, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents will be maintained via the use of road plates Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained via signed diversion to the opposite footway. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no vehicular access through the works area and all vehicular traffic including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion routes.

Binscombe (D98) Farncombe Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Binscombe (D98) Farncombe which extends from its junction with The Avenue (D98) to a point in line with Lamp Column N36. This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate water connection works. The Order which will commence on 15 December 2025 for a period of 12 months however the works are anticipated to be completed within 5 days between the hours of 7:30am and 5.30pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times as will segregated access for pedestrians and cyclists. Alternative Route – Binscombe, Binscombe Lane, Farncombe Street, Station Road, Green Lane or the same route in reverse.

A247 Send Road and A247 Broadmead Road, Send Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 19 November 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles, including cyclists, from entering or proceeding in that length of A247 Send Road and A247 Broadmead Road, Send which extends from the northern side of the junction with B368 Send Marsh Road, north-westwards and then northwards to the boundary between Guildford Borough Council and Woking Borough Council. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing/prepatching works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 24 November 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

Access for pedestrians will be permitted by the gatemen when safe to do so.

Access for cyclists will not be maintained and will be required to follow the signed diversion route/directed by the gatemen on-site. Alternative Route – A247 Broadmead Road, A247 High Street, A247 Kingfield Road, A247 Wych Hill Lane, A320 Egley Road, A320 Guildford Road, A320 Woking Road, C14 Clay Lane, A3100 Clay Lane, A3100 London Road, A246 Epsom Road, A25 Epsom Road, A247 The Street, A247 Clandon Road and A247 Send Barns Lane.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1) Public Footpaths 52 (Send) and 45B (Woking) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2020

On 24 June 2020 Surrey County Council made the above temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length and width of Footpaths 52 (Send) and 45B (Woking) for 15 metres from Grid Ref. 501537 155927 to Grid Ref. 501519 155927 where it crosses the River Wey by means of a bridge to the east of Fisher’s Farm.

The order is necessary on the grounds of public safety due to the poor state of repair of the bridge. The closure has been in operation since 26 June 2020 an was due to expire on 25 December 2025. The Secretary of State for Transport then extended the closure for a 6th time until 25 December 2026, or until when suitable works are undertaken to the bridge or alternative crossing provided, whichever is the earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.

The temporary closure will only be in operation when this notice and appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the county council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.

The alternative route from the eastern side of the closure at the bridge at Fisher’s Farm is to proceed in an easterly direction for 92 metres along footpath 52 (Send), then turn in a northerly direction along footpath 52A (Send) for 325 metres, crossing Broadmead Cut and continuing as footpath 45A (Woking) in a northerly direction for 255 metres, then turning north-westerly for 145 metres, then turning in a southerly direction along footpath 44 (Woking), for 655 metres to its junction with footpath 45 (Woking), continuing for a further 28 metres as footpath 43 (Woking) then turning in an easterly direction along footpath 45B for 110 metres to the western side of the bridge and closure.

The closure from the western side of the bridge is the reverse of the above.

The Surrey County Council Footpaths 52 (Send) and 45B (Woking) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2020 was made by the County Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
