(40 & 50 MPH SPEED LIMITS) (A435) (PARISHES OF BISHOPS CLEEVE & GOTHERINGTON) (TEWKESBURY BOROUGH) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council in exercise of its enabling powers under Section 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made the above-named order the effect of which will be to:

1. introduce the 40mph speed limit detailed in Schedule 1 below; and

2. reduce the extent of the existing 50mph speed limit as detailed in Schedule 2 below to align with the proposed extent of 40mph speed limit.

The lengths of roads fall within the Parishes of Bishops Cleeve & Gotherington within the Tewkesbury Borough in the County of Gloucestershire.

The Order shall come into effect on 28th November 2025.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE B4216 CULVER ROAD (NEWENT TOWN) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the B4216 Culver Road from its junction with Broad Street to its junction with Anthonys Cross for a distance of approximately 2130 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works on behalf of Openreach.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION OF VARIOUS ROA DS (WINCHCOMBE PARISH) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the lengths of road as detailed in the Schedule below.

SCHEDULE

The reason for the said closures is for carriageway signing/lining works.

The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 each day from 24th November 2025, where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether they are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures and restrictions taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures and restriction in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated that all works will be completed by 28th November 2025. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order can remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

The reason for the said closure is for Fibre Broadband works.

The said footway is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 24th November 2025 until 17:00hrs on 26th November 2025 only or until the said works have been completed.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH ZGL 74 (PODSMEAD WARD) GLOUCESTER CITY

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Public Footpath ZGL 74 from its junction with New Dawn View in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 350 metres to its junction with Cole Avenue.

The path falls within the Ward of Podsmead, in Gloucester City, Gloucestershire.

The closure is necessary to safeguard the public whilst construction works take place.

The said Public Footpath is expected to be closed from 24th November 2025 until 13th April 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the said closures are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site 2 weeks prior to any closure taking effect.

Emergency access and pedestrian access to adjoining properties will be maintained.

Schedule

There will be no waiting, loading or stopping permitted during the restriction – except for buses or coaches dropping off or picking up school children.

The reason for the said restriction is for safety whilst coaches are dropping off and collecting school children from The Everyman Theatre.

The said roads are expected to be restricted between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 on various days from 28th November 2025 to 17th December 2025 and again from 7th January 2026 to 9th January 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the restrictions taking effect. This Order can permit the restrictions of the roads in any order, or simultaneously as required.
