Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Headington, Footpath Mason’s Alley

Date of Order: 17 November 2025

Coming into force: 25 November 2025

This Order is being introduced because of there is a dispute about who maintains/owns the boundary wall due to being partially collapsed. We have had to close this for the safety of Members of the public, which is anticipated to be completed on 05 May 2027. This is a 24 hour footpath closure.

The effect of the Order is to close temporarily whole section of the footbridge Mason’s Alley

Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of footpath.

The alternative route will be signed via Trinity Road, Old Quarry Place and vice versa.

Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. (Ref: T16971/AC)
