Haywood Oaks Lane - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic To Mains Replacement Programme

What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(HAYWOOD OAKS LANE, BLIDWORTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PROCEEDING) ORDER 2025 (N25-378)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Blidworth in the District of Newark and Sherwood.

The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:

a. Haywood Oaks Lane, Blidworth - From its junction with Old Rufford Road in a north westerly direction for a distance of 550 metres2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:

From 08:00, Monday 24th November 2025
Until 17:00, Friday 12th December inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:

Haywood Oaks - Dale Lane - Baulker Lane - Old Rufford Road - Vice Versa

The Order will come into force on 24th November 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Severn Trent Water to carry out works to mains replacement programme;
