OLDHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE OLDHAM DOBCROSS AREA 2OMPH SPEED LIMIT ORDER 2025

The Oldham Borough Council on 21 st November 2025 made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to impose a speed limit of 20 miles per hour on on the full length of The Square, Barmeadow, Southgate, Woods Lane, Nudger Green, Nudger Close, Treetops and Riverbank and on Platt Lane from 20 metres north of Barmeadow to Sandy Lane and Sandy Lane from The Square to a point 140 metres northeast of Southgate and Sugar Lane from The Square to a point 305 metres from its junction with Wool Road and on Dobcross New Road from 230 metres east of Woods Lane to Delph New Road, Streethouse Lane from Delph New Road/Wall Hill Road for 65 metres, Wall Hill Road from Delph New Road/Dobcross New Road for 450 metres and Delph New Road from Dobcross New Road for 355 metres The Order shall come into operation on 28 th November 2025.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks from the date of this Notice apply to the High court for the purpose.
