York Road - Temporary Prohibition of Footway To Footway Works
What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (AS AMENDED) SECTION 14(2)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH FOOTWAY) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that Birmingham City Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prevent any pedestrian from entering York Road at its junction with High Street.
The temporary Order is required to enable Footway Works to be carried out in safety.
An alternative route for pedestrians affected by this Order will be signed on site.
Access to frontages will be maintained as necessary.
These prohibitions shall apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
The Order will come into operation on Saturday 22nd November 2025 and will remain in force for a period of 12 weeks or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier.
