TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary One Way Traffic Order:
ORDER NO. MCC146810414: The City of Manchester (Canberra Street, Clayton & Openshaw Ward)(Temporary One Way Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to make Canberra Street One Way from Ashton New Road to Coatbridge Street (permitted direction of travel). The alternative routes for traffic will be: Coatbridge Street, Clayton Hall Road, Ashton New Road. The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary to facilitate gas main replacement. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 24th November 2025 to 8th December 2025. The Order shall come into operation on 24th November 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
