Effaith y Gorchymyn fydd dargyfeirio rhan o Lwybr Troed Cyhoeddus Rhif 92 Llanfrechfa Isaf, i’r gogledd o hen Bencadlys Heddlu Gwent yng Nghroesceiliog yng Nghymuned Cwmbrân, sy’n cychwyn i’r gorllewin o’r A4042 Ffordd Osgoi Croesyceiliog (GR ST 3092 9537) ac yn mynd i gyfeiriad y gogledd-orllewin am tua 67.5 metr, i gyfeiriad y gorllewin-de-orllewin am tua 155 metr, i gyfeiriad y gogledd-ddwyrain am tua 50 metr yna i gyfeiriad y orllewin-de-orllewin am 18 metr i’w gyffordd â Turnpike Road ar GR ST 3069 9542.

Hyd y llwybr sydd i’w dargyfeirio yw tua 148 metr a gellir ei weld ar Fap y Gorchymyn mewn llinell ddu amlwg o A-B. Mae gan y llwybr arwyneb tarmac.

Bydd llwybr amgen yn cael ei greu a fydd yn dechrau tua 10m i’r gogledd o Lwybr Troed 92 Llanfrechfa Isaf (GR ST 3092 9538), i’r gorllewin o’r A4042 Ffordd Osgoi Croesyceiliog. Bydd yn mynd i gyfeiriad y gorllewin am tua 100 metr, yna i’r gogledd-orllewin am tua 70 metr lle mae’n ymuno â Llwybr Troed 92 Llanfrechfa Isaf (GR ST 3075 9539). Hyd y llwybr amgen yw tua 170 metr a gellir ei weld ar Fap y Gorchymyn mewn llinell doredig ddu o C-D. Bydd gan y llwybr troed newydd arwyneb mat rwber geogrid trwy goetir, arwyneb tywcreh naturiol mewn mannau eraill a bydd yn 1.5 metr o led.

NOTICE OF MAKING A PUBLIC PATH ORDER

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

SECTION 257

TORFAEN COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL

DIVERSION OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 92 LLANFRECHFA LOWER (PART) AT THE FORMER COUNTY HALL SITE, CROESYCEILIOG, CWMBRAN

The above Order was made on 5th November 2025 under Section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.

The effect of the Order will be to divert a section of Public Footpath No. 92 Llanfrechfa Lower, north of the former Gwent Police Headquarters at Croesyceiliog in the Community of Cwmbran, which commences west of the A4042 Croesyceiliog Bypass at GR ST 3092 9537 and proceeds in a north-westerly direction for 67.5 metres or thereabouts, a west-south-westerly direction for 155 metres or thereabouts, a north-westerly direction for 50 metres or thereabouts then west-south-west for 18 metres to its junction with Turnpike Road at GR ST 3069 9542. The total length of the path to be diverted is 148 metres or thereabouts and is shown on the Order Map as a bold black line from A – B. The path has a tarmac surface.

An alternative route will be created which will commence approximately 10m north of the start of Footpath 92 Llanfrechfa Lower at GR ST 3092 9538, west of the A4042 Croesyceiliog Bypass. It will proceed in a westerly direction for 100 metres or thereabouts, then north-west for 70 metres or thereabouts where it joins with Footpath 92 Llanfrechfa Lower (GR ST 3075 9539). The length of the alternative route is approximately 170 metres and is shown on the Order Map as a dashed black line from C – D. The new footpath will have a geogrid rubber matting surface through woodland, a natural turf surface elsewhere and will be 1.5 metres wide.

. A copy has also been placed and may be seen free of charge at Torfaen County Borough Council, Civic Centre, Pontypool, NP4 6YB from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Thursday and from 9.00 am to 4.30 pm on Friday. Copies of the Order and the Order Map may be bought there at the price of £3.00.

Any representations or objections to the Order should be sent in writing specifying the grounds upon which they are being made to Torfaen County Borough Council, Resources Department, Legal Services, Civic Centre, Pontypool NP4 6YB or by e-mail to Traffic.Orders.Legal@torfaen.gov.uk before 17th December 2025. Please quote the reference CH/23317 in all correspondence.

If no representations are duly made, or if so made are withdrawn, Torfaen County Borough Council may confirm the order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the National Assembly for Wales for Confirmation, any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
