PART OF CAMBRIDGE STREET CLIFTON ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Cambridge Street from its junction with Middle Lane to its junction with Gladys Street from 8pm on Thursday 27th November until 6am on Friday 28th November 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Middle Lane, Badsley Moor Lane, Central Avenue, Park Road, North Crescent, Cambridge Street and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Sewer cleansing).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Milton Road from a point approximately 35m south of its junction with Shelley Way to the end of the cul de sac from Monday 24th November until Friday 28th November 2025.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route, the road is a cul de sac.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Installation of electrical apparatus).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Kid Lane from its junction with New Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a south easterly direction on Sunday 23rd November 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be Via New Road, B6463 Lamb Lane and vice versa. The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (repairs to water apparatus).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Temple Road from its junction with A6178 Sheffield Road to the end of the cul de sac on Sunday  23rd November and Monday 24th November 2025.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Telecommunications maintenance works).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Worksop Road from its junction with Melton Court for a distance of approximately 50m in an easterly direction from Thursday 4th December until Monday 8th December 2025 between 9.30am and 3.30pm each day.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Aston Way, Aston Way Mansfield Road Roundabout, Mansfield Road, Worksop Road and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Telecom works).

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the four roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice for short periods of time between Monday 24th November and Friday 19th December 2025.

NOTICE is further given that there are no alternative routes, the roads are cul de sacs. The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (Carriageway resurfacing).

SCHEDULE

(i) First Lane from its junction with Morthen Road to the end of the adopted highway. (ii)  Sycamore Farm Close from its junction with Churchfields to the end of the cul de sac.

(iii) Rose Close from its junction with St. Albans Way to the end of the cul de sac.

(iv) The Gorse from its junction with Sorby Way to the end of the cul de sac.

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Belmont Street and Josephine Road for short periods of time between Saturday 29th November and Friday  12th December 2025.

Residents of properties affected by the Order will receive confirmation of an exact start date before works begin.

NOTICE is further given that there are no alternative routes for vehicles affected by the Order.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (Carriageway resurfacing).

NOTICE is further given that there are no alternative routes, the road is a cul de sac

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Harvest Road between its junction with Radley Avenue and its junction with Aldred Close from Monday 1st December until Friday 5th December 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Radley Avenue, Scarborough Road, Scholey Road, Harvest Road and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Electrical works).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the two parts of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice from Monday 1st December 2025 until Friday  16th January 2026.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (Footway resurfacing and highway improvements).

SCHEDULE

(i) New Road between its junction with Penny Hill and its junction with A634 Blyth Road (the alternative route is via A634 Blyth Road, A634 Maltby Road, A60 Doncaster Road, B6463 Lamb Lane, Penny Hill and vice versa. Access to be maintained for residents and emergency vehicles).

(ii) Kid Lane from its junction with New Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a south easterly direction (the alternative route is via Kid Lane, B6463 Lamb Lane, Penny Hill and vice versa).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the four parts of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The part of Common Road will be closed from Monday 1st December until Friday 19th December 2025. The part of Ladyfield Road, Kiveton Park will be closed from Monday 5th January until Wednesday 7th January 2026. The part of Ladyfield Road, Thorpe Salvin will be closed from Thursday 8th January until Saturday 24th January 2026. The part of Manor Road will be closed from Monday 26th January until Saturday 28th February 2026.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (Installation of water main).

SCHEDULE

(i) Common Road from a point 170m south east of its junction with Worksop Road for a distance of approximately 215m in a south easterly direction (the alternative route will be via Thorpe Road, Netherfield Road and vice versa).

(ii) Ladyfield Road, Kiveton Park from its junction with Manor Road to its junction with Ladyfield Road, Thorpe Salvin (the alternative route will be via Red Hill, Hard Lane, Thorpe Road, Harthill Road and vice versa).

(iii) Ladyfield Road, Thorpe Salvin from its junction with Ladyfield Road, Kiveton Park to its junction with Harthill Road (the alternative route will be via Red Hill, Hard Lane, Thorpe Road and vice versa).

(iv) Manor Road from a point approximately 55m south of its junction with Red Hill/Dog Kennel Road to its junction with Packman Lane and Ladyfield Road (the alternative route will be via Hard Lane, Union Street, Thorpe Road, Harthill Road, Ladyfield Road and vice versa).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Middle Lane South between its junction with Badsley Moor Lane and its junction with A6021 Wickersley Road from Monday 1st December until Friday 12th of December 2025 between 9.30am and 2.30pm each day.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via A6021 Wickersley Road, A6021 Broom Road, A6021 Clifton Lane Roundabout, Badsley Moor Lane and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Urgent works to highway trees).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the Order will be to impose changes to the speed limit affecting the roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

A copy of the proposed Order, a map relating to it and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Rotherham Borough Council, Riverside House, Main Street, Rotherham S60 1AE.

Objections to the proposed Order and other representations relating to it can be sent to the undersigned at the address given below (quoting reference NF/83254, e-mail: Legal-TRO@rotherham.gov.uk) and must be received by the undersigned not later than 19th December 2025. All objections and other representations must be made in writing and all objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.

Notice of Designation of areas for Selective Licensing under section 80 of the Housing Act 2004

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with Section 83 Housing Act 2004 that on 14th November 2025 Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council acting as local housing authority in exercise of its powers under Section 80 of the Housing Act 2004 has designated six areas of Rotherham, (“the Areas”) for selective licensing. The areas under the Designation are: -

a)     Town centre/Eastwood/East Dene/Clifton/Boston Castle

b)     Masbrough/Kimberworth

c)     Thurcroft

d)     Dinnington

e)     Brinsworth

f)      Parkgate

The areas are detailed on plans accompanying the Designations.

The Designations shall come into effect on 15th February 2026.

The Designations do not need to be confirmed by the Secretary of State. The Designations were made under The Housing Act 2004: Licensing of Houses in Multiple Occupation and Selective Licensing of Other Residential accommodation (England) General Approval 2024, pursuant to section 82 of the Housing Act 2004.

The Designations shall cease to have effect on 14th February 2031, unless revoked earlier under section 84 of the Housing Act 2004.

The Designations may be inspected at the above address during office hours. Any private landlord, property managers or tenant within any of the Areas is advised to seek advice from the Council on whether their property is affected by the designations.

Any person who without reasonable excuse, has control of or manages a house in any of the Areas without a licence or a person who fails to comply with the conditions imposed by such a licence, will be guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine. As an alternative to prosecution, the Council may issue a monetary civil penalty of up to £30,000. In addition, such persons may be subject to enforcement action and be prevented from holding a licence and/or being made subject to a rent repayment order.
