What is happening?

Manchester City Council

Manchester City Council proposes to make Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the titles and effects of which are as follows:

CITY OF MANCHESTER (CRAB LANE, CHAPEL LANE, POOLTON ROAD AND TWEEDLE HILL ROAD, HIGHER BLACKLEY) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING, PROHIBITION OF LOADING / UNLOADING AND AMENDMENT) ORDER 2025

NO WAITING AT ANY TIME AND NO LOADING/ UNLOADING AT ANY TIME:

Chapel Lane, north-east side from 12m northwest of Crab Lane south-easterly for 32m. Crab Lane, (i) both sides from Chapel Lane north-easterly for 12.5m, (ii) south-east side from 10m southwest of Poolton Road northeasterly and then north-westerly to 10m northwest of Poolton Road.

Poolton Road, (i) both sides from Tweedle Hill Road north-westerly for 10m, (ii) north-east side from Crab Lane southeasterly for 10m, (iii) south-west side from Crab Lane southeasterly for 6m. Tweedle Hill Road, north-west side from 10m southwest of Poolton Road north-easterly to 10m northeast of Poolton Road.

CITY OF MANCHESTER (CRAB LANE AND ADJACENT ROADS, HIGHER BLACKLEY) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE) ORDER 2025

20MPH SPEED LIMIT: Poolton Road, for its entire length. Crab Lane, for its entire length. Stowfield Close, for its entire length. Monteagle Street, for its entire length.

Churchdale Road, for its entire length. Stella Street, for its entire length. Bradney Close, for its entire length.

An existing Order shall be amended so as to be consistent with the proposals. Copies of the proposed Orders, the Order it is proposed to amend, the Statement of Reasons and a plan showing the proposals may be inspected at the Customer Service Centre Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension, M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) between the hours of 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

Alternatively, copies of the documentation may be requested via the email phlegal@manchester.gov.uk. Objections to these proposals must be sent in writing to phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or to the address below, stating the grounds on which they are made and the Order to which the objection relates no later than 15th December 2025.
