What is happening?

Transport for London Public Notice

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The GLA Roads and GLA Side Roads (Enfield) Red Route Consolidation Traffic Order 2008 The A406 Sterling Way Variation Order 2025

1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above-named Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The general nature and effect of the Order will be to:

(a) shorten the existing Parking Bay outside Nos. 18 to 36 Sterling Way by 29 metres to outside Nos. 26 to 32 Sterling way, operating No Stopping Mon – Sat 8am to 7pm except parking maximum of 1 hour no return within 2 hours. The double red line restriction (no stopping at any time) at the eastern end will be adjusted to accommodate the change;

(b) introduce a 15 metre Loading/Unloading and Disabled Persons’ Vehicles Bay outside Nos 18 to 26 Sterling Way, operating No Stopping Mon - Sat from 8am to 7pm except loading for a maximum of 20 minutes or disabled persons vehicles for a maximum of 3 hours.

3. The road which would be affected by the Order is the A406 Sterling Way in the London borough of Enfield.

4. A copy of the Order, a statement of Transport for London’s reasons for the proposals, a map indicating the location and effect of the Order and copies of any Order revoked, suspended or varied by the Order can be inspected by visiting our website at https://haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/tro and selecting the relevant borough and reference the Traffic Order relates to or by appointment during normal office hours at our office at the address below. Copies of the documents or an appointment may be requested via email at trafficorderssection@tfl.gov.uk, or by post at the following address quoting reference SNO/REGULATION/STOT/OM/TRO/GLA/2025/0093:

6. All objections and other representations to the proposed Order must be made in writing and must specify the grounds on which they are made. Objections and representations must be sent to Transport for London, Streets Traffic Order Team, Palestra, 197 Blackfriars Road, London, SE1 8NJ or by emailing trafficorderssection@tfl.gov.uk quoting reference SNO/REGULATION/STOT/OM/TRO/ GLA/2025/0093 to arrive before 10th December 2025. Please note due to Hybrid working access to post is restricted and requests for documents and confirmation of your objections or representations may be delayed. Objections and other representations may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
