The Ridge (C75) Woldingham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 19 November 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of The Ridge (C75) Woldingham which extends from its junction with Southfields Road (N35100) to its junction with Northdown Road (C72).
Alternative Route: The Ridge, Southfields Road or the same route in reverse.
This Order is required to allow UKPN to carry out new cable installation works. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 December 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times. Access for residents will be maintained by the traffic marshall on site. Cyclists will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Effingham Road (B2037) Copthorne
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 14 November 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Effingham Road (B2037) Copthorne as extends from its junction with Effingham Lane (D367) to its junction with Dowlands Lane (D369).
Alternative route – B2037 (Effingham Road, Keepers Corner and Antlands Lane), B2036 (Balcombe Road), A2220 (Copthorne Road), A264 (Copthorne Common Road), B2028 (Turners Hill Road) and B2037 (Effingham Road), or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable UKPN to facilitate electrical and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 1 December 2025 for 2 days between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency services to properties within the closure as well as for residents, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Epsom Lane South (D1108) Tadworth
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 14 November 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Epsom Lane South (D1108) Tadworth as extends from its junction with Tadworth Street (B2220) to the access for the property known as “1A Epsom Lane South”.
Alternative route – B2220 (Tadworth Street), B290 (Station Approach and Cross Road) and Cross Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Circet UK to facilitate utility and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 1 December 2025 for 3 days between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Reigate Road (A25) Brockham, Betchworth and Buckland
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 14 November 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Reigate Road (A25) Brockham, Betchworth and Buckland as extends from its junction with Old Reigate Road (D309) to a point 254 metres west of its junction with Cliftons Lane (X25035), the boundary with the Borough of Reigate and Banstead.
Alternative route – A25 (Reigate Road), A24 (Deepdene Avenue, London Road, Mickleham By-Pass, London Road, Dorking Road, By-Pass Road, Leatherhead Road, The Street, Epsom Road, Dorking Road, South Street and High Street), A2022 (Upper High Street, Alexandra Road and College Road), A240 (Reigate Road), A217 (Brighton Road, Reigate Hill and London Road) and A25 (Castlefield Road, Church Street, High Street, West Street, Buckland Road and Reigate Road), or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate road safety improvements and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 1 December 2025 between the hours of 8.00pm and 6.00am, Mondays to Saturdays.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Tandridge Hill Lane (C73) Godstone
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 19 November 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Tandridge Hill Lane (C73) Godstone.
Alternative Routes – Oxted Road; Flower Lane; and Gangers Hill or this same route in reverse.
This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 24 November 2025 is required to facilitate joint investigation works and/or GPR survey works and/or drainage survey works and/or core hole excavations and/or trial hole excavations and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Jackson Civil Engineering within the length of road described in this notice.
These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 6 nights between the hours of 9pm and 5am.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for residents within the closure area, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via escort. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.
A217 London Road, Reigate
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 19 November 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of A217 London Road, Reigate that is crossed by the Betchworth to Reigate railway route at the “Reigate Level Crossing” and for a distance of 20m either side.
This Traffic Order is required by Network Rail to enable inspections and/or upgrade and/or maintenance works to the level crossing. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 1:05am and 4am within 2 nights of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 07 December 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services and pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
No sole access to property will be affected. Access for residents, businesses, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:-
Clockwise – Reigate Hill, Raglan Road, Gatton Park Road, A23 London Road, A25 London Road, Queensway, Station Road, Linkfield Corner, Hatchlands Road, Reigate Road, Church Street, High Street and A25 London Road.
Anti-clockwise – Castlefield Road, Reigate Road, Hatchlands Road, Linkfield Corner, Station Road, Queensway, A25 London Road, A23 London Road, Gatton Park Road, Raglan Road and Reigate Hill.
C134 Park Road, Banstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 19 November 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:-
1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of C134 Park Road, Banstead.
2. Suspend (i) the “Surrey County Council Park Road (C134) Banstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024”, (ii) the “Surrey County Council Park Road (C134) Banstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025”, (iii) “The Surrey County Council Park Road (C134) Banstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025”, and (iv) the “Surrey County Council Park Road (C134) Banstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2025” in entirety.
This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to carry out excavations and/or clearance of duct blockages in verge and/or spine cabling and/or maintenance works in Park Road, Banstead outside “Place Farm” and “The Black Barn”.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 5 days of the 6 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 December 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Alternative route:- High Street, Bolters Lane and Holly Lane.
D1015 Colcokes Road, Banstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 19 November 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D1015 Colcokes Road, Banstead which extends from a point in-line with the northern property boundary of No.4 southwards to a point in-line with the southern property boundary of No.9.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate capital safety defect works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 26 November 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Alternative Route – D1015 Colcokes Road, D1015 Monks Road, D1015 Garrard Road and B2219 Garratts Lane.
Brickhouse Lane (D373) Newchapel
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:-
(a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Brickhouse Lane (D373) Newchapel as extends from its junction with Clay Lane (X34072) to the access for the property known as “Foxhole Farm House”; and
(b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Brickhouse Lane (D373) Newchapel Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” insofar as it relates to the road described in (a) above.
Alternative route – Brickhouse Lane, Bones Lane and Croydon Barn Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable UKPN to facilitate a new service connection and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 December 2025 for 1 day between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Tithepit Shaw Lane (D1382) Warlingham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tithepit Shaw Lane (D1382) Warlingham as extends from its junction with Martin Close (D1382) to the access for Warlingham School “Sports Facilities Entrance A” and the property known as “School House”.
Alternative route – B269 (Limpsfield Road and The Green) and B270 (Westhall Road and Hillbury Road), or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Sunbelt Rentals to facilitate access to an overhead structure and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 14 December 2025 for 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Harriotts Lane (D2584) Ashtead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:-
(a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Harriotts Lane (D2584) Ashtead as extends from the eastern to the western boundary of the property known as “47 Harriotts Lane”; and
(b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Harriotts Lane (D2584) Ashtead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” insofar as it relates to the road described in (a) above.
Alternative route – Barnett Wood Lane, West Farm Avenue, Ottaways Lane and Harriotts Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate a new service connection and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 December 2025 for 3 days between the hours of 7.30am and 5.00pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
A22 Godstone Road and D1388 Salmons Lane, Whyteleafe
Temporary Banned Turns Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:-
1. Prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in a southerly direction on A22 Godstone Road, Whyteleafe from turning right into D1388 Salmons Lane. Alternative route:- Burntwood Lane, Whyteleafe Road and Whyteleafe Hill.
2. Prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in a north-easterly direction on D1388 Salmons Lane, Whyteleafe from turning right into A22 Godstone Road.
Alternative route:- A22 Godstone Road (northbound), to U-turn at the roundabout junction with C227 Whyteleafe Hill and B270 Hillbury Road and return on A22 Godstone Road (southbound).
This Traffic Order is required to enable Network Rail to carry out installation of a close coning system and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 10:01am and 3:59pm, within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 29 December 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary banned turns will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
D1068 Buff Avenue, Banstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D1068 Buff Avenue, Banstead that extends from the southwestern property boundary of “No.2 Buff Avenue”, to the north-western property boundary of “No.6 Buff Avenue”.
This Traffic Order is required by Sutton and East Surrey Water to carry out water mains replacement and/ or repair and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 4pm within 5 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 26 January 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
Access for emergency services, residents, businesses will be maintained to the point of closure via the alternative route:- Buff Avenue, Banstead High Street, Harbourfield Road and Sandersfield Road.
Park Lane (D2628) Ashtead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Park Lane (D2628) Ashtead as extends from its junction with (D2628) Chalk Lane to its junction with (D2627) Oaken Coppice.
Alternative Route: Park Lane, Farm Lane, Downs Road, Headley Road, Wilmerhatch Lane, Woodcote Side, (A24) Dorking Road, (A24) Epsom Road, and Park Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate new electrical connection works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 December 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates or the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Whitewood Lane (C71) South Godstone
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Whitewood Lane (C71) South Godstone as extends from its junction with (C65) Hornecourt Hill to its junction with (XZZ) Tedham Lane.
Alternative Route: Whitewood Lane, Brickhouse Lane, Croydon Barn Lane, and Church Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate telecom pole testing works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 19 December 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Norwood Hill Road (C57) Charlwood
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to;
(a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Norwood Hill Road (C57) Charlwood which extends from its junction with Stan Hill (C21) and Pudding Lane (D327) and to its junction with Old Farm Close (X8232); and
(b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council D330 Norwood Hill, Charlwood Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice.
Alternative Route: Tapners Road, Smalls Hill Road, Norwood Hill Road, Stan hill, Blanks Lane, Partridge Lane, Parkgate Road, Broad Lane, Shellwood Road, Bunce Common Road.
This Order is required to enable D & T Surfacing Limited to facilitate new ducting works and/or other associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 8pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 December 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times and access for pedestrians will be provided by a banksman on site.
