THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM
(WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (MARSTON AVENUE AND WELLINGTON DRIVE, DAGENHAM) AMENDMENT No. 159 ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham in exercise of its powers under sections 6 and 124 and Parts I to IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended (hereinafter called “the Act”) and all other enabling legislation and powers and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis in accordance with Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act made the above Order, the effect of which will be to:
1. Introduce ‘No waiting at any time’ restrictions at the following locations:
a. Bryant Avenue, west side, from its junction with Wellington Drive for 11 metres in a northerly direction.
b. Wellington Drive, north side, from its junction with Bryant Avenue for 12.7 metres in a westerly direction.
c. Marston Avenue, north side, from a point 14.4 metres east of its junction with Wood Lane to the western property boundary of No.182 Marston Avenue.
d. Marston Avenue, south side, from a point 16.1 metres east of its junction with Wood Lane to a point 12 metres south-east of its junction with Trefgarne Road.
2. Replace ‘No waiting Mon–Fri 8.30am–5.30pm’ with ‘No waiting at any time’ restrictions at the following locations:
a. Wood Lane, east side, from its junction with Marston Avenue for 11.3 metres in a northerly direction.
A copy of the Order, which will come into force on 24 November 2025 and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Order are available to view for a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made on the Council’s website by visiting the following webpage https://www.lbbd.gov.uk/parking/parking-area and selecting ‘New and proposed traffic and parking schemes’ or available for inspection at the Adult Library, First Floor, Barking Learning Centre, Barking between the hours of 9.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers of the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or any Regulations under it have not been complied with may do so within six weeks of the made date of the Order by applying to the High Court
