BATH & NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL

(24-044) (PULTENEY ROAD & NORTH PARADE ROAD, BATH) (20 M.P.H SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS GIVEN that on 20th November 2025 the Bath and North East Somerset Council made the following order under provisions contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be that it is prohibited to drive a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour on lengths of the road as listed in the Schedule 1 to this Notice.

The Bath and North East Somerset Council (24-044) (Pulteney Road & North Parade Road, Bath) (20 M.P.H. Speed Limit) Order 2025 will come into operation on 29th December 2025 and a copy, together with a map and a Statement of the Council’s reasons for making the order may be inspected, free of charge, at The One Stop Shops at The Hollies, High Street, Midsomer Norton, 3-4 Manvers Street, Bath and at the Keynsham Civic Centre, Market Walk, Keynsham during normal office hours.

Any person who desires to question the validity of, or any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Road Pulteney Road, Bath Location From the St Matthew’s Place signals to Raby Place/Bathwick Hill roundabout, approx. 812 metres.

North Parde Road, Bath From its junction with Pulteney Road extending to the existing 20mph east of North Parade Bridge, approx. 203 metres.
