What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS LOCATIONS, CAR COLSTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PROCEEDING) ORDER 2025 (R25-275)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Car Colston in the Borough of Rushcliffe.

The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. Car Colston Road, Car Colston - From its junction with Hawksworth Road, Scarrington to its junction with Car Lane, Car Colston.
b. Car Lane, Car Colston - From its junction with Car Colston Road to its junction with Screveton Road
c. Car Lane, Car Colston - From its junction with Screveton Road in a southerly direction for 25 metres

1. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

2. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 09:00 hours until 15:00 hours only
From Monday 1st December until Friday 19th December 2025 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. Car Colston Road, Car Colston - Car Lane - Screveton Road - Car Colston Road - Main Street - Hawksworth Road -Screveton Road - Scarrington Road - Hawksworth Road and vice versa
b. Car Lane, Car Colston - Screveton Road - Car Colston Road - Main Street - Hawksworth Road - Screveton Road -Scarrington Road - Hawksworth Road and vice versa
c. Car Lane, Car Colston - Screveton Road - The Green - Car Lane and vice versa

The Order will come into force on 1st December 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
