Mae’r Cyngor yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn Cyngor Sir Ceredigion (Gwahardd Traffig Trwodd Dros Dro) (A486 Synod Inn a Phentre’r Bryn, Llandysul) 2025 heb fod yn llai na saith diwrnod o 18/11/2025, er mwyn gwahardd unrhyw gerbydau rhag teithio ar hyd y priffyrdd hyn. Caniateir mynediad i gerddwyr. Y llwybr amgen ar gyfer traffig sy’n teithio tua’r gogledd-ddwyrain o bwynt sydd i’r gorllewin o’r darn ffordd a gaewyd bydd teithio ar hyd y U5125 Lôn Y Felin i’r gyffordd â’r C1048. Trowch i’r chwith i’r C1048 gan deithio i’r gyffordd â’r A487. Trowch i’r chwith i’r A487 gan deithio i’r gyffordd â’r B4342C yn Llanarth. Trowch i’r chwith i’r B4342C gan deithio am tua 2.5 milltir, a pharhau ar y B4342 Stryd Margaret, Heol y Parc, Heol y Bryn, Heol yr Eglwys a’r A486. Teithiwch ar hyd yr A486 drwy Maenygroes a Cross Inn i bwynt sydd i’r gogledd-orllewin o’r darn ffordd a gaewyd; ac i’r gwrthwyneb. Cyfanswm pellter o oddeutu 10.5 milltir. Y llwybr amgen ar gyfer traffig sy’n teithio tua’r gogledd-orllewin, ar hyd yr A486, o bwynt sydd i’r de-ddwyrain o’r darn ffordd a gaewyd bydd teithio tua’r gogledd-orllewin ar hyd yr A487 a dilyn yr arwyddion gwyro sydd yno’n barod; ac i’r gwrthwyneb. Cyfanswm pellter o oddeutu 8.1 milltir. Y llwybr amgen ar gyfer traffig sy’n teithio tua’r gogledd-orllewin, i’r U5125 Lôn Y Felin, o bwynt sydd i’r de-ddwyrain o’r darn ffordd a gaewyd bydd teithio tua’r de-ddwyrain ar hyd yr A487 a dilyn yr arwyddion gwyro sydd yno’n barod; ac i’r gwrthwyneb. Cyfanswm pellter o oddeutu 2.5 milltir. Bwriedir i’r Gorchymyn ddod i rym ar 01/12/2025 am gyfnod a barhae hyd nes y gwella anhawster yn y priffi bibellau sement asbestos presennol wedi’i gwblhau gan Dwr Cymru – tua 14 wythnos. Gall y Gorchymyn barhau mewn grym am 18 mis.

Cam 1: C1006 a Lôn Gefn Stryd Mason. 01/12/2025–12/02/2026.

Y llwybr amgen ar gyfer traffig sy’n teithio tua’r gogledd o bwynt sydd i’r de o’r darn ffordd a gaewyd bydd teithio ar hyd y C1006 i’r gyffordd â’r A486 ym Maenygroes. Trowch i’r dde i’r A486 gan deithio i’r gyffordd â Ffordd Towyn. Trowch i’r dde i Ffordd Towyn gan deithio i’r gyffordd â Sgwâr Ucheldir. Trowch i’r dde i Sgwâr Ucheldir ac ewch ymlaen, gan barhau i’r B4342, Stryd Margaret, i’r gyffordd â Heol Francis. Trowch i’r dde i Heol Francis gan deithio i bwynt sydd i’r gogledd o’r darn ffordd a gaewyd ac i’r gwrthwyneb. Cyfanswm pellter o oddeutu 1.4 milltir.

Cam 2: Lôn Penrhiw Pistyll. 29/01/2025–13/03/2025.

Y llwybr amgen ar gyfer traffig sy’n teithio tua’r gogledd-ddwyrain o bwynt sydd i’r de-orllewin o’r darn ffordd a gaewyd bydd teithio ar hyd y C1006 a Heol Francis i’r gyffordd â’r B4342, Nant Ifan. Trowch i’r dde i’r B4342, Nant Ifan ac ewch ymlaen, gan barhau i’r B4342C, i’r gyffordd â Lôn Penrhiw Pistyll. Trowch i’r dde i Lôn Penrhiw Pistyll gan barhau i bwynt sydd i’r gogledd-ddwyrain o’r darn ffordd a gaewyd. Cyfanswm pellter o oddeutu 1.2 milltir.

Bwriedir i’r Gorchymyn ddod i rym ar 01/12/2025 a bydd yn parhau nes bydd y gwaith adnewyddu’r prif bibellau asbestos presennol wedi’i gwblhau gan Dwr Cymru – tua 13 wythnos. Gall y Gorchymyn barhau mewn grym am 18 mis.

Ceredigion County Council

The Council intends, not less than 7 days from 18/11/2025, to make the Ceredigion County Council (A486 Synod Inn and Pentre’r Bryn, Llandysul) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2025 to prohibit any vehicle proceeding along that highway. Pedestrian access maintained. The alternative route for north-west bound traffic from a point west of the closure is to travel along the U5125 Lôn Y Felin to its junction with the C1048. Turn left onto the C1048 and travel to its junction with the A487T. Turn left onto the A487T and travel to its junction with the B4342C at Llanarth. Turn left onto the B4342C and travel approximately 2.5 miles, continuing on the B4342 Margaret Street, Park Street, Hill Street, Church Road and A486. Travel along the A486 through Maenygroes and Cross Inn to a point north-west of the closure; and vice versa. A total distance of approximately 10.5 miles. The alternative route for north-west bound traffic, along the A486, from a point south-east of the closure is to travel north-east along the A487T and follow existing diversion; and vice versa. A total distance of approximately 8.1 miles. The alternative route for north-west bound traffic, to the U5125 Lôn Y Felin, from a point south-east of the closure is to travel south-west along the A487T and follow existing diversion; and vice versa. A total distance of approximately 2.5 miles. It is intended that the Order will come into force on 01/12/2025 and will remain in place until renewal works of existing asbestos cement mains are completed by Welsh Water– approximately 14 weeks. The Order may continue in force for 18 months.

Phase 1: C1006 & Mason’s Street Rear Lane. 01/12/2025–12/02/2026.

The alternative route for northbound traffic from a point south of the closure is to travel along the C1006 to its junction with the A486 at Maenygroes. Turn right onto the A486 and travel to its junction with Towyn Road. Turn right onto Towyn Road and travel to its junction with Uplands Square. Turn right onto Uplands Square and travel, continuing onto the B4342, Margaret Street, to its junction with Francis Street. Turn right onto Francis Street and travel to a point north of the closure and vice versa. A total distance of approximately 1.4 miles.

Mason Street. 01/12/2025–12/02/2026.

There is no alternative route.

Phase 2: Penrhiw Pistyll Lane. 29/01/2025–13/03/2025.

The alternative route for north-eastbound traffic from a point south-west of the closure is to travel along the C1006 and Francis Street to its junction with the B4342, George Street. Turn right onto the B4342, George Street and travel, continuing onto the B4342C, to its junction with Penrhiw Pistyll Lane. Turn right onto Penrhiw Pistyll Lane and travel to a point north-east of the closure. A total distance of approximately 1.2 miles.

It is intended that the Order will come into force on 01/12/2025 and will remain in place until renewal works for existing asbestos cement water mains for Welsh Water are completed – approximately 13 weeks. The Order may continue in force for 18 months.
