ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Section 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make the following temporary traffic regulation order:

Station Road, Flax Bourton, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming into Force: 16 February 2026

Ref: SW25.26-219

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to install 7.5T weight restriction over the bridge and install signage either side of the bridge. This order will become operative on the 16 February 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration between 8am and 4pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Coast Road, Walton Bay, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming into Force: 28 January 2026

Ref: SW25.26-221

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to safely perform pole test. This order will become operative on the 28 January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Court Hay, Easton-in-Gordano, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 3 December 2025

Ref: SW25.26-201

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to relay gas service. This order will become operative on the 3 December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Strode Road, Clevedon, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 1 December 2025

Ref: SW25.26-150

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to replace gas mains. This order will become operative on the 3 November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months.

However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 103 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14

Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

B3124 Castle Road, Clevedon, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 24 November 2025

Ref: T25-57

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order was required because of carriageway patching and will become operative on 24 November 2025 anticipated to be of 2 days in duration between 8am and 5pm. The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule – B3124 Castle Road from the junction of The Avenue to the junction of Argyle Road.

Alternative routes – B3124 Castle Road – B3124 Wellington Terrace, B3124 Marine Hill, B3130 Hill Road, B3130 Bellevue Road, B3130 Elton Road, Old Church Road, B3130 Old Street, B3124 Walton Road, B3124 Holly Lane, B3124 Castle Road (part unaffected) and vice-versa.

Extended Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice was hereby given that North Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Footpaths LA12/12, LA12/12c, LA12/12d, LA12/11, LA12/39, Long Ashton, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by All Traffic Order 2025

Further Extension of Order

Ref: SW24.25-100

Will be to close, temporarily, to all traffic the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpaths.

This order came into force on 6 January 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months and was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Epic Systems Corporation (subject to obtaining planning permission). The Secretary of State has now granted a further extension of the said Order until 25 December 2026.

Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
