High Street, Stourton With Gasper - Introduce No Waiting At Any Time

What is happening?

SECTION 16(A) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to temporarily introduce No waiting at any time on the following length of road: High Street, Stourton with Gasper – south side – from the property known as Spead Eagle Public House for a distance of 60 metres in an easterly direction to enable Temporary footway along the High Street to provide safe pedestrian access across highway. This Order is made to ensure public safety during the period of Christmas at Stourhead public event. This Order will come into operation on 27 November 2025 and will be required until 01 January 2026. For further information please contact Laurence Mulchrone (Culture Creative Ltd) on 07771 904036.

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all users: Footpath 15 (Part), West Knoyle; from its junction with Footpath 27, West Knoyle for a distance of approximately 110m in a south easterly direction to enable Bridge currently unsafe. Replacement planned to be installed in Spring 2026. No alternative route is available. The closure will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This closure, which follows an emergency notice will come into operation on 28 November 2025, and the closure will be required until 26 May 2026.
Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the work. The Order will have a maximum duration of 6 months. For further information please contact Carys Ford Countryside Access Officer on 07557 822363 or Wiltshire Council (out of hours) on 0300 456 0100.
