What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.4 (PART), PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY NO.136 (PART) & No.137 (PART) SWADLINCOTE AND BRIDLEWAY NO.15 (PART) CASTLE GREASLEY

WHEN: 01 December 2025 to 31 March 2026.
WHERE: Close footpath No.4 for approx. 60m from footpath No.3 to SK29480 18025. Close bridleway No.136 for approx. 250m from SK29393 17279 to SK29601 17324. Close bridleway No.137 for approx. 250m from footpath No.4 to SK30023 17999. Close bridleway No.15 for approx. 200m between SK28833 17471 to SK28940 17359.
REASON: To facilitate public safety during surfacing works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: No alternative route is recommended. Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of bridleway/ footpath. The bridleway/footpath will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.

The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
