Sunderland City Council gives notice that it intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit all vehicles along the south-west bound carriageway of Cygnet Way, Houghton-le-Spring, from its junction with the B1284 for a distance of 145 metres in a southern-westerly direction. The Order is required to facilitate drainage works on or near the road. The Order will come into operation on 12th January 2026.
