Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 20th November 2025:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (FOOTPATHS 17, MOULSOE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2283)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians entering or proceeding along Footpath 17, Moulsoe from its junction with A509 to its junction with Bridleway 3, Moulsoe to enable St Joseph Homes to carry out essential development works.
The closure will take effect from 28th November 2025 to 31st March 2026.
Whilst the above length of footpath is closed there will be a temporary alternative route in pace and signed.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (BULLINGTON END AND BULLINGTON END ROAD, CASTLETHORPE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2241)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of road to enable Openreach to carryout cable recovery works.
The closures will take effect from 1st to 5th December 2025 (between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm each day).
Bullington End, Castlethorpe from its junction with Manor farm to its junction with Wolverton Road.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Park Road, Gold Street, Castlethorpe Road, Hanslope Road, North Street, Wolverton Road (and vice versa).
Bullington End Road, Castlethorpe from its junction with Glenmore Farm to its junction with Bullington End.
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Wolverton Road, Bullington End (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (GROVEWAY (PART), WALTON HALL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2243)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Groveway, Walton Hall from its junction with Brickhill Street to its junction with Walton Drive Roundabout to enable Cornerstone Telecommunications to undertake a pole swap using a crane.
The closures will take effect from 2nd to 5th December 2025 (between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm each day).
Whilst the above length of road is closed, the alternative route will be via Brickhill Street, Standing Way and Marlborough Street (and vice versa).
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 18th November 2025, made the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (REDWAY BG01, BROUGHTON GATE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2271)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians entering or proceeding along Redway BG01, Broughton Gate from Tanfield Lane to Newport Road enable O2 to carry out essential Telecom’s works for installation of new mast and cabinet.
The closures will take effect in two phases:
Phase 1 – from 24th to 27th November 2025.
Phase 2 – from 8th to 12th December 2025.
Whilst the redway is closed the alternative route will be via Milton Rd, Whitehaven Close, Poppy Ave, Newport Road (Vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (STERLING CLOSE PERNNYLAND) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2271)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Sterling Close, Pennyland (outside Number 31) to enable Openreach to carry out fibre cabling works.
The closure will take effect from 25th to 28th November 2025 (Between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm each day).
Access will be maintained at all times throughout the closure.

Public Notices for Permanent Traffic Regulation Orders

PUBLIC NOTICE:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (CALVERTON LANE, MILTON KEYNES) (40 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2025 (Reference TRO-466)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 84(1), (2) and (3) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order.
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to introduce a 40mph speed restriction along that part of Calverton Lane between Watling Street (V4) and Upper Weald.
Milton Keynes City Council is now carrying out statutory consultation on the above proposal. Copies of the proposed Order, together with plans showing the general arrangements and a statement of reason, may be inspected on the Council’s website at:

Any representations or objections to the proposal, together with the grounds upon which they are made, must be made in writing and sent to the Council’s Traffic Regulation Order Team at Milton Keynes City Council, Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Central Milton Keynes, MK9 3EJ, or by email to
quoting reference TRO-466 and to be received no later than 11th December 2025. Any representations received will be taken into consideration before the implementation of the scheme.
