What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY RESTRICTED BYWAY CLOSURE
RESTRICTED BYWAY NO.21 (PART) RIPLEY

WHEN: 8 December to 19 December 2025.
WHERE: Close restricted byway No.21 (Bridle Lane) for approx. 185m starting from the B6374, Upper Hartshay.
REASON: To facilitate public safety during gas mains replacement works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: No alternative route is recommended.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of restricted byway. The restricted byway will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
