THE DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (DEVONSHIRE STREET, BRIMINGTON)
(7.5 TONNE ENVIRONMENTAL WEIGHT LIMIT) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Derbyshire County Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order will be, in respects of roads in the Parish of Brimington in Chesterfield, as follows:
TO PROHIBIT VEHICLES EXCEEDING 7.5 TONNES (EXCEPT FOR VEHICLES EXCEEDING 12’ 9” OR 4 METRES HIGH) PROCEEDING ALONG THE FOLLOWING LENGTH OF ROAD:
B6050 Devonshire Street, Brimington
From its junction with Station Road/Coronation Road to its junction with the A619 Church Street.
Exemptions will be made for vehicles used in connection for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes, for the delivery or collection of Goods to or from any premises situated on or adjacent to the lengths of Road specified this Order; for the delivery if it cannot conveniently be used for such purpose on any other Road to be used in connection with any of the following operations, namely: the removal of any obstruction to traffic; building, industrial or demolition operations; the maintenance, improvement or reconstruction of the said lengths of Road so referred to; the laying, erection, alteration or repair in, or on land adjacent to the said lengths of road of any sewer or of any main, pipe or apparatus for the supply of gas, water or electricity or of any Electronic Communications Line; if it cannot conveniently be used for such purpose on any other Road, to be used in the service of a Local Authority in pursuance of statutory powers or duties; as a Public Service Vehicle; for the purposes of agriculture in connection with land adjacent to the Road specified in the Schedule to this Order for the haulage of timber felled upon that land. Any permanent Traffic Regulation Orders made prior to this Order, insofar as they relate to the lengths of road listed above, will be revoked. A copy of the Order and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection at the County Council’s principal offices known as County Hall on Smedley Street in Matlock and at Chesterfield Central Studies Library, New Beetwell Street, Chesterfield, S40 1QN during opening hours and on request by emailing place.permanentTRO
until 6 weeks after the Order is made.
