TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD
TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council intend, not less than seven
days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act
1991 because works are being or proposed to be executed on or near the road and
the effect will be to prohibit any vehicle from exceeding the 30mph speed limit in that
length of Broomhouse Lane at Edlington in the City of Doncaster District as described
in the Schedule to this notice on the dates and times referred to in the said Schedule.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the workforce whilst works
to install a new water main are undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the
Order. Those residents and businesses directly affected by the works notified of the
scheme and access arrangements.

The Proposed Order will continue in force up to and including the 31st day of January
2026 or until the works which it is proposed to carry out in or near the said road have
been completed, whichever is the earlier. (PO1186)
SCHEDULE

Location
Introduce a 30 mph temporary speed limit on Broomhouse Lane, Edlington from a point
60 meters north-east of its junction with Wood View continuing for a distance of 1455
meters in north easterly direction.
Dates and Times
00:01hrs 28th November 2025 until 20:00hrs 19th December 2025.
The speed limits displayed as 30 mph together with temporary traffic signals will remain
in place 24hrs a day.
In the event of engineering difficulties and/or adverse weather conditions, the closure
may extend beyond this date although all closures to be completed by the
31st January 2026.
